Durante el confinamiento dije varias veces que los días- panza de burro me afectaban: me pesaba todo y el cuerpo se notaba. Es un poco lo que hemos notado al confinarnos, también; como si el tejado de casa fuera esa gran nube de ese pequeño pueblito del norte de Tenerife, al que en el imaginario infantil de las protagonistas, llegas escalando. Se escala de muchas maneras en esta historia, la de Isora. Sabina Urraca, autora en Fulgencio Pimentel con Las niñas prodigio, es la editora “por un libro” de Barret ediciones y ha elegido a Andrea Abreu para esta apuesta.

Es un libro desagradable. Mayormente porque es muy escatológico (hasta niveles absurdos a veces), pero también porque habla de personajes que viven y se sienten muy al límite. Está escrito con las entrañas. Se siente así. No comulgo nada con esa visión posmoderna que alaba este tipo de narrativa escudándose en la reproducción del lenguaje oral. Y además, si le quitamos esta peculiaridad por la que el libro se distingue, la historia no puede ser más manida y hueca. Rinse them off at the end of the day. Me da mucha pena sentir que no disfrutado cien por cien este libro como me hubiera gustado. Me da pena porque 1) fue un regalo y porque 2) me habían hablado muy bien de él.
