Product Information

The Driver gets his jobs from The Connection, stealing cars which he then uses as getaway vehicles in robbery jobs. He's an expert driver and has never been caught, much to the chagrin of The Detective, who coerces some armed robbers into setting The Driver up. But The Driver has his own moves, using The Player to throw the cops off his scent. The trouble is: can he trust The Player? After all, she gets paid to lie for a living. With double- and triple-crosses rife, will he be able to stay ahead in the game long enough to get away clean?

This drive can read and write most DVD formats, including CDs and Blu-rays. However, it cannot write 4K UHD Blu-ray films, it can only read them. So if you bought some 4K UHD Blu-ray movies but you don’t have a way to watch them, now you do. Columbia Classics 4K Ultra HD Collection: Volume 1 (Lawrence of Arabia, Gandhi, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Dr. Strangelove, Jerry Maguire, and A League of Their Own) ( US/UK) – 6/16/20 – N4K (some titles include DV and DA) Though it began as a potential pilot for a new series, David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive went well beyond its potential 4x3 confines, becoming one of his most celebrated cinematic works. Much of the credit can be laid at the feet of Naomi Watts, who was mostly unknown at the time she was cast in the film, giving a powerhouse performance that launched her career. Like many of Lynch’s works, it’s a film that gives you all of the details, but at the same time, those details aren’t laid bare. Working out what the film is doing and what it’s trying to say thematically is part of the appeal. This is the first Second Sight Films transfer I've seen, so let's see how many enemies I can make:) I'm a big fan of this movie and absolutely love the style. Let's see how it looks on 4K. This looks to be the same transfer used on MVD’s previous Blu-ray release of the film, although this time the transfer is opened up to a 3840x2160 resolution aided by Dolby Vision HDR. Overall, this is the best the film has ever looked at home, pulling as much depth and clarity out of the source as possible. As mentioned previously, the aesthetic of the film can be a bit flat, with primaries usually looking muted and everything looking a bit soft. But the HEVC (H.265) codec handles it all capably, which is a delight to see from a debut 4K release.
