About this deal

Needless to say, however, under our tests the Dyson V8 Absolute performed immaculately and just as well as some of the corded cylinder vacuums we’ve tested. The soft roller cleaner head made light work of our hard floor test, cleaning up 95% of the fine powder spill in one sweep and providing a buffeting shine while it went. This was with very little pressure exerted towards the floor, with a bit more force the V8 clears up the entire mess in one go. Models like the popular DC07 (released in 2001) took things forward, adding extra suction power and reducing operating noise. 2004's DC14 introduced now familiar “Animal” models for pet owners, while 2005's DC15 totally changed the setup of Dyson's vacuum cleaners, making them much easier to move around difficult environments.

The Dyson V8 range has been around for a few years, having debuted in 2016, so it's no surprise that the company has come up with a successor. The Dyson V10 collection appeared in 2018, and was intended to directly supersede the V8, so you might think that assessing the merits of the V8 is obsolete. After all, why opt for an older model if more powerful, more advanced alternatives exist? Actually, there are a few reasons to think about Dyson V8s, instead of upgrading to a V10.

It has the usual attachments for crevice cleaning and dusting, plus a small motorised head for mats and rugs, but is definitely not suitable if you’ve got more carpet than you’re prepared to vacuum on your hands and knees. Never Use Your Dyson to Clean Liquids – This one will be obvious to some people, but it's worth reiterating: Dyson's cordless vacuums are not designed to clean fluid spillages, so don't use them for this purpose. It's a sure-fire way to damage the mechanism. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to test the V8’s suction power using our standard test, which gives out a reading in kilopascals (kPa). This is because when you create a perfect seal with the V8’s nozzle the motor shuts down automatically after just a second, making it difficult to get an accurate reading of its full suction capabilities. This prevents undue strain on the motor should the pipe become clogged, but means we’ve had to rely on our more subjective tests. There’s another useful tweak here, where it comes to changing accessories. The release clip has now been moved to the accessory head, whereas it used to be on the extension tube and the main unit. Previously, it meant removing accessories became a juggling act but the operation is now swifter and far easier to complete with just your free hand.

Battery life is excellent and cleaning power is as good as it gets, with 18 of Dyson’s cyclones built into the vacuum. The larger size means you’ll be able to cover more ground before needing to empty the dust and detritus; ideal if you have a big house with lots of places for dirt to collect. It's really a big help on your part whenever you have these kind of machines. Dyson V8 can take you to a different perspective about cleaners due to its high quality and great performance. So, Here are some of its features that you can enjoy: The V8 Absolute proved adept at going from hard floors to carpeted areas without any issues, making it a very versatile cleaner and certainly capable of a full-house clean with its improved battery life. The screen on the vacuum unit also has new features and while it still helps you choose your cleaning mode and shows you how long your battery has left, it also reports on how well the V15 is cleaning your home and what kind of dust and dirt particles it’s collecting. It’s an important change as the battery capacity of the V8 has now been doubled to 40 minutes of running time. The bigger bin means you’ll be both emptying and charging the V8 far less frequently. Another Dyson innovation is ‘the Ball’. This, as the name suggests, is a large ball upon which the vacuum cleaner pivots. Thanks to this single pivot, upright Dyson cleaners are easier to manoeuvre around the house in comparison to traditional wheel-based vacuums. The data might reveal whether there's an ideal time of year to buy your preferred Dyson, or whether it's currently a peak period when prices tend to be at their highest. 4. Shop around Let's be clear though: the V10 is an improvement over the V8 in some key areas. For starters, it has a longer battery life (60 minutes compared to 40 minutes), and it takes less time to charge (3.5 hours compared with 5 hours). It comes with a 0.77l dustbin, as opposed to the V8's 0.54l bin, and is hardly any heavier than the older model, weighing in at 2.67kg compared to 2.61kg for the V8.

It also has two power modes. Switch between MAX mode for up to 7 minutes of high power, and Powerful mode for longer cleaning. Perhaps most importantly, every V8 came with the Direct Drive Cleaner Head, the model's marquee attraction. This head represented an improvement in every way on previous Dysons, delivering much-improved suction and dirt removal, while being easy to clean and versatile enough to deal with carpets and hard floors alike. The Dyson V8 Models: Dyson V8 Absolute Pro, Dyson V8 Animal, and Dyson V8 Total Clean Dyson's V8 vacuum cleaners set a new bar in the world of cordless cleaning when they appeared in 2016. The Dyson V8 cordless cleaner was designed to provide an upgrade on the V7, with a more powerful set of 15 cyclone motors, all-new cleaning attachments, an ergonomic design to make cleaning simpler, and a galaxy of attachments to handle a diverse array of cleaning challenges.Starting with the DC01 in 1993, Dyson revolutionised the way Brits clean their homes. The first model employed “dual cyclone” motors, which gave it a distinctive, almost futuristic appearance. It was replaced by the DC02 in 1997, which introduced removable and washable filters, as well as filtration systems that hadn't been seen before in UK homes. As for the cyclonic separation technology, that refers to the cones at the top of the internal dust canister. They use the airflow to separate dust and dirt from the air, depositing more waste – including microscopic particles – into the canister without the need for complex filters.
