About this deal

Ollie The Owl can be used until your child no longer has a need for it anymore. Thanks to its high quality and design, Ollie will last for many years.

This is where Ollie the Owl wins hands down over the original Ewan the Dream Sheep; Ollie has an intelligent CrySensor which detects when your baby wakes up and cries. I would choose this product over similar products on the market, mainly due to how calm and relaxed my four-month-old has been since using it. We have used similar products before this one but since using Ewan, he has slept through more often, and seems a lot more settled. The Velcro tail, to me, is a fantastic feature, as you can securely strap him anywhere, so you know baby is safe.

Also, the fact that Ollie has a built in rechargeable battery means that there are no further costs for constantly buying batteries (although of course it will use electricity to charge the battery). Ollie also has a greater number of sounds, and so seems to be the better choice all round. If your baby doesn’t take to Ewan at all, keep it in a clean area. Reintroduce Ewan to your baby after a month or so. Often, your baby will be more comfortable in their environment after a while and will take to Ewan much better. Don’t give up on Ewan; you’ll be so thankful that you didn’t. It’s okay to want to match your baby’s toys, products, and bedding with their room. With Ewan The Dream Sheep, you have the options of purple and grey to work with. The grey Ewan is the most popular as it’s a neutral color and fits in perfectly with most baby rooms. Portable and Durable NOTE: If ewan is in 'try me' mode he will only play songs/activate for 2 minutes. Switch him to 'normal' mode to make him play for 20 minutes. 4 turn ON/OFF & select sounds This is where these two of the many sleep aids on the market come in. Both of these popular sleep aids play sounds that soothe a baby, such as heartbeat and womb sounds that mimic the noises babies hear inside the womb. These comforting sounds have been proven to be effective for settling and calming newborn babies as they make the difficult transition from womb to world.

If you haven’t heard of SweetDreamers Ewan The Dream Sheep, you’ve been missing out as it works like a light projector and a soother too! Stand-out features of this baby sleep aid include the light and the Velcro tail, that allows you to attach Ewan to the cot or car seat when on the go. ewan Deluxe has single button activation. Press this to switch ewan ON. The large button can be pressed through ewan’s tummy making it easy for your child to self soothe. This same button is pushed to turn OFF the sounds at any time without the need to remove the pod from ewan’s tummy. When you’ve got a baby, sleep is a very precious commodity. When baby gets a good night’s sleep, the whole family gets a good night’s sleep, and so there are lots of baby sleep aids available which will soothe baby to sleep, and help it to stay asleep too.

NOTE: If ewan is in 'try me' mode he will only play songs/activate for 2 minutes. Please see above (point 3) how to switch him into 'normal' mode, making him play for 20 minutes. 5 where to put ewan The classic version of Ewan The Dream Sheep is battery-powered, but the batteries are not included with the product. It uses x3 AAA non-rechargeable batteries. What Is Ollie the Owl? The sounds that your sleep aid makes is going to be one of the most important criteria for choosing your toy, because it all depends on what works for your little one. You can take Ewan The Dream Sheep wherever you want, thanks to the velcro tail strap. It’s not safe to have toys in the crib with your newborn baby due to the risks of suffocation, but that doesn’t mean this sleep aid can’t be there for your baby. Simply wrap its tail around the rail of your baby’s crib to keep it out of the way but still close enough to be effective to your baby. Unless you physically deactivate Ollie The Owl’s CrySensor, it will continue to stay on, listening to your baby for the next 3 hours. If your baby stirs, becomes restless, or wakes up, Ollie will start playing white noise or the lullaby sounds for another 20 minutes. This process will continue until your baby sleeps past 3 hours or you deactivate the CrySensor.

But which is the best? We’re going to compare both these top selling baby sleep aids to see which one you should choose for your baby. Ewan the Dream Sheep If you’re not the biggest fan of the look of Ollie, it may not be the sleep aid for you as there are no other colors available. You don’t have the option to match it to the color theme of your child’s bedroom, but it all comes down to your preferences. Ewan the Dream Sheep vs. Ollie the Owl – Which Is Better? To activate classic ewan the dream sheep, squeeze one of the four buttons located at the top of each of his legs. Each leg plays a different sound for 20 minutes. The light will activate with sound if the Light switch is toggled to the ON position. My little boy adores the sounds of SweetDreamers Ewan The Dream Sheep. He's four-months old, and the womb sound is his favourite by far. He sits smiling and giggling when Ewan comes out with us in the pram, which this helps me get on with tasks whilst keeping him entertained, and watching the light is a bonus, as it helps him focus for a lot longer than he used to. Ewan also helps him sleep (he actually sleeps through now, which never happened before) so it definitely does help settle and sooth him, which would make any mother’s life easier.
