About this deal

Turn on/off by toggle switch: mode A will be activated on Low each time it is turned on, mode B and C will automatically memorize the last selected output. The base of the flashlight makes tailstanding a cinch. Combined with the several floody modes available, the LR40R V2.0 could make a nice room-fill light during a power outage. Sadly, there is not a tripod mount, which I could see being handy. The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used on High mode for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, it will then allow the user the reselection of High mode. Spot and floodlight modes can be simultaneously or independently operated. Strobe and SOS are only accessed via the floodlight switch.

With the light switched on, press and hold the spotlight switch for 1.2 seconds to simultaneously turn off both modes. Mode SwitchingA: Fenix LR40R V2.0 is a super bright spot-and-flood searching flashlight. Its key features include: Do NOT shineflammableobjects at close range, to avoid burning objects or causing danger due to high temperature! When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached.

Turn on/off by electronic switch: the light memorizes the last selected output. When turned on again the previously used output will be recalled. To avoid overheating the torch has two types of inbuilt protection. The temperature protection will lower the output of the torch if the temperature reaches 65°C or above when using turbo, high II and high I. The timed downshift will reduce the output after 2 minutes constant use in the turbo output and reduce the output after 5 minutes use in the high II output. It will reduce to 1000 lumens if the spot high mode is also being used, or 1500 lumens if it is just the flood being used. Indication: If load is identified, the indicators will recede from right to left to display the status. Note: When discharging, only Eco and low output level on spotlight mode can be used. Battery Level Indication When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output mode, the battery level indicator blinks blue to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. To ensure normal use, the flashlight will not turn off automatically and will work until the battery level runs out or the protection circuit activates. When charging, the charging indicators will flash from left to right to display charging status. The five indicators will be constant-on after charging is complete.Note: The abovementioned functions are specially designed for avoiding discomfort and danger caused by the light overheating. Low-voltage Warning The torch features a USB-A discharging port which allows it to be used as a power bank for charging external digital devices. To ensure you know when it's time to recharge the battery, the LR40R V2.0 has a reliable battery status indicator above the side switch. When all 5 LEDs illuminate the battery is between 80-100%, 4 lights means it is between 60-80%, 3 lights between 40-60%, 2 lights for 20-40% and 1 light between 1-20%. Lumen measurements How Lumens are Measured: Understanding ANSI FL1 Standards How Lumens are Measured: Understanding ANSI FL1 Standards: The ANSI FL1 standards specify that output in lumens should be measured 30 seconds after turning on, as this is the standardized time for measuring brightness according to the industry standard. This is why we focus on this part in our measurements.

Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare. Turbo: 15000 Lumens (2 hrs 30 mins), High: 10000 Lumens (2 hrs 30 mins), Med: 5000 Lumens (2 hrs 40 mins), Low: 1500 Lumens (6 hrs), ECO: 300 Lumens (25 hrs) The lighting modes are selected using a rotating toggle, simply turn to the required mode then push the central push button for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on. Each press after will cycle through eco, low, mid, high and turbo (in floodlight and combined settings). Press and hold the button for 1.2 seconds in any state to access the strobe, then single press to change to SOS and press once more to return to the previously used setting. The last used setting will be remembered next time the light is turned on except for in spotlight mode, where the torch will always turn on in the low setting. Please note, all outputs are measured in total runtime including at reduced levels due to temperature and/or protection mechanisms in the design. Press and hold the floodlight switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the floodlight on or press and hold the spotlight switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on the spotlight. Repeat this action to turn off either the flood or spotlight. The light and the included charging cable support QC2.0, PD2.0 fast charging protocols. The normal charging time is approximately 4 hours from depletion to full charging. Note: *The outputs may decrease due to overheat protection and therefore run-times may be at reduced outputs. The central reflector is surrounded by 16 little reflectors, each one housing a Lumileds HL2X LED. This little (3535 size) Luxeon LED has been around for a few years, had some testing done at BLF, and never really seemed to generate much interest in the enthusiast space. Understandable… but when you put 16 of them together, at that point it’s more about quantity and not quality. And these things end up putting out a lot of light in the LR40R V2.0. That makes it a real high lumen flashlight. Intensity was measured at 5 meters after being turned on for 30 seconds. A UNI-T UT383 BT lux meter was used. Mode
