Gunn’s transfer to head up DC Studies with Peter Safran, and the fact that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is going to be the last film in the series as we know it is going to make the film pretty important to fans. We’ve all loved saying “I am Groot” and watching the crazy escapades of the Guardians on the big screen, so it’s going to be a little sad to say goodbye to them.

We believe that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will likely arrive on Disney+ in early August, shortly after the conclusion of the “Secret Invasion” series on the platform. It could be it was just us, or they were just not funny. If Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 follows a similar release pattern to Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, expect the movie to be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD around August 1, 2023. While this might not be the precise date, we believe it’s likely that the film will be released on physical home media within the first few weeks of August. As Marvel is owned by the Walt Disney Company, it will also feature on Disney Plus at some time later in the year. However, your first chance to see it at home is probably early access to buy the film, which should be around 45-60 days after it comes out on the big screen, so around July just in time for the summer hols.
