About this deal

However, Joe's plans suddenly change when he falls in love with an aspiring actress named Love Quinn at Soho House. She doesn't know about his past and never can. The problem is, hidden bodies don't always stay that way. Joe does not succeed in murdering Forty Quinn. Do you think this is because, deep down, he ultimately really didn’t want to kill Love’s brother? Or do you think he was simply careless? And the woman who does kill Forty is named Julie Santos. Joe thinks of her as Saint Julie. What do you think about that? In both books, You and Hidden Bodies, Joe meets what many describe as “unlikable” characters. Does this affect your feelings when he commits murder? Discuss the concept of likability in literature. Do you have to “like” the people to like the book? The next Gone Girl is a title that’s been tossed around considerably in literary circles, but Kepnes’ sophomore effort is worthy of the comparison.” – In Style

In what was easily my most anticipated release of 2015, Hidden Bodies brings the return of Joe - my favorite anti-hero to date. While You was written all about the “you” Joe happened to be stalking enamored with, Hidden Bodies is all about the “we” as Joe finds love. I’VE never given anyone a key. But this is what’s supposed to happen. Your life is supposed to expand. Your bed is supposed to have enough room for someone else and when that someone comes along, it’s your job to let her in. I seize my future. I pay extra to get ridiculous theme keys, pink and flowery. And when I place these pink metallic things in the palm of Amy’s hand, she kisses them. Stream It Or Skip It: ‘Leo’ on Netflix, in Which Adam Sandler Voices a Lizard Who's Also a Child Psychologist This book did go slow in places but Kepnes writes so damn well that I couldn't put it down. You have to know where she is going with her stories. Even when I figured stuff out I still wanted more.Stream It Or Skip It: ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ on Apple TV+, a Charming and Typically Tearjerking Adaptation of the Classic Children's Book Overall, I found this to be a good story. I think I would have liked it more if I had taken a little break between books 1 and 2. I absolutely love Joe as a character, but by midway through 'Hidden Bodies' his craziness was starting to get on my nerves. I think his quirks are best handled a little at a time. I give it 3.5 stars.

Caroline Kepnes, I don't know if you know this or not but you are building a legion of fangirls and boys. We will follow you.......... A dark, fun and frightening character study that deeply (and I do mean deeply) explores the hypocrisy of the trendsetters of the moment and those who follow them. bookreporter.com Our Take: Showrunner Paul Tomalin ( Torchwood) and co-writer Danusia Samal had their work cut out for them in trying to adapt Spencer’s graphic novel, given that there are four timelines to juggle, all tied together by the same body. The first episode, though, shows that they might just pull it off, given that the detectives at the center of each story are distinctive and well-played by their respective actors, and that the four stories themselves are relatively distinct from one another.Joe,” she says, tapping her foot. “I love this business. And I know I’m being a dumb girl and I shouldn’t tell you how into this I am. But please. I want keys.”
