About this deal

If Logitech can resolve the issues this keyboard has with Mac OS 10.15, I’d love to give it 5 stars. But as of today it's not as seamless as advertised… which is a shame. Because I really want to love this keyboard. This is long-term owner's review. I own this keyboard since 2018, when I bought it along with M720 mouse. I bought them specifically for multi-device functionality to switch between my personal and work laptops when working from home. If you want a gaming keyboard, go mechanical, dive into switch types and that sort of thing. If you want a travel keyboard, go small, get a lightweight model that is easy to carry. If you want a keyboard for your HTPC, a keyboard for your heavy-use content-creator PC, or some other specific use case, this might not be the best choice. But if you are looking for a keyboard that will stay in one spot for everyday use with no exceptional requirements, this is the way to go.

Now I either have to live with laggy Bluetooth connection or buy a new keyboard with C-U0008 USB receiver to have my setup working again. Or I'd rather return the new M720 mouse and get Dell or some other brand making multi-device keyboards. If you prefer to connect the Logitech K780 keyboard using a USB receiver, locate the USB receiver that came with your keyboard. Now, press and hold the “Bluetooth” button on the Logitech K780 keyboard. This button is typically located near the power switch or on the top row of keys. I like the design of round keys, I find that key action is good enough and not worse than any compact keyboard. The phone/tablet stand was not useful a lot for me. I don't use tablets, though, and I imagine it's helpful to put a tablet into the stand if the tablet doesn't have it's own stand. Battery life was great. I think I had to change batteries once since 2018. Overall, I'm satisfied with this keyboard. With the Logitech K780 keyboard powered on and ready to connect, you can now proceed to the next step: enabling Bluetooth on your device. Once the USB receiver is securely connected, turn on the Logitech K780 keyboard by toggling the power switch to the “On” position.

On your device, locate the list of available Bluetooth devices. This may be found in the Bluetooth settings or in a pop-up notification. Toggle the power switch to the “On” position. You may see an indicator light or hear a sound indicating that the keyboard is now powered on. I didn’t experience the same issues connecting over Bluetooth to a phone or tablet, however, so these problems are most likely down to computing hardware, not the keyboard itself. One area where I encountered no issues was wireless performance. The K780 has the potential of operating up to 33 feet from the signal source. While I didn’t experience this maximum range, I saw no range issues up to nearly 20 feet away over Bluetooth and nearly 15 feet away via the provided Logitech Unifying USB receiver. The three input hotkeys delivered instantaneous switching between devices and pairing was equally speedy and easy. Software: Customization ease with Logitech Options
