About this deal

For the rest of the campaign on Armageddon Logan fought with the axe, and upon his return to Fenris he had it reforged, dubbing it the Axe Morkai.

Power fields and runes of enchantment are wrought within the chariot's framework to protect both man and beast from incoming fire, enabling Stormrider to bear the Old Wolf into the heart of the enemy lines unscathed. The ancient war chariot is also outfitted with a built-in hololith projector, allowing the Chapter Master to direct his forces with ease. The Champions of Fenris player has the first turn. All of his units immediately arrive by Deep Strike. The first model placed in each unit must, however, be placed within 12" of the wyrdgate marker. In the ruins of the Temple of Morkai, Grimnar's crew were ambushed by the leader of the Sea Devils, Thorgil Icetooth, and his Kraken Guard. In a matter of solar minutes the once-silent halls of the temple echoed with the sounds of battle. Thorgil and his hulking reavers overwhelmed the Iron Bloods until Grimnar alone, a gore-spattered axe in either hand, stood atop the altar to Morkai. Stormrider is the name of an ornate war chariot that belongs to the Space Wolves Space Marines Chapter and is used by their current Chapter Master, Logan Grimnar. Stormrider is held aloft by anti-gravitic gyrostabilisers, however it has no means of self-propulsion, and thus it has only ever been drawn forth by a pair of giant Thunderwolves since the time of Leman Russ.

Axe Morkai - This mighty weapon is borne into battle by the Great Wolf. The Axe Morkai is an ancient artefact, thrumming with the power of the Warp, a battlefield trophy taken from a defeated Chaos Champion by the Great Wolf himself. Grimnar had the Chapter's Iron Priests reforge the deadly axe into the likeness of the twin-headed Fenrisian wolf-god Morkai, the guardian of the gates of the afterlife in the myths of the people of the Space Wolves' homeworld, Fenris. A unit that contains more than one model must be set up and end any kind of move as a single group, with all of its models within 2" horizontally and 5" vertically of at least one other model from that unit. While a unit has seven or more models, all of its models must instead be set up and end any kind of move within 2" horizontally and 5" vertically of at least two other models from that unit. This is called Unit Coherency. In this time the planet is remade anew, its Human tribes setting off in their longboats to find new homes so that they might survive for another Fenrisian year. From this harsh and brutal environment the Space Wolves recruit their battle-brothers. Among the Inquisition's dissenters, things were reaching a boiling point. A widespread conspiracy to assassinate Kysnaros, supported by ranking Inquisitors such as Jarlsdottyr and respected Grey Knights such as Hyperion, was taking shape amongst elements of the containment armada. It was the belief of the conspirators that only Kysnaros' death would stop the internecine conflict and prevent it from developing into a full-fledged Imperial civil war. Kysnaros, now often counseled by the more hard-line Red Hunters officers, had in the meantime installed surveillance servo-skulls on the bridge of every starship in the Inquisitorial armada. Jens Ironfist - Jens Ironfist is Logan's chosen Iron Priest, responsible for the Great Wolf's chariot, Stormrider, and the phalanx of Land Raiders which his Wolf Guard ride to war in. His marking is a wolf's head on the cog of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

After the Noctis Aeterna, Grimnar and his Champions were battling Orks aboard a Space Hulk when news first arrives of a Torchbearer fleet carrying the first Primaris Space Marines for the Space Wolves. [9a] Despite the enthusiasm for the new warriors by Krom Dragongaze, Grimnar is distrustful of these new marines, who are not of Fenris, and is disdaindul of the "Legion" breaker Roboute Guilliman. [9b] Fearing Guilliman seeks to control the Space Wolves, a full muster of the badly depleted chapter takes place at The Fang, and summit with Guilliman is held. Logan seems to deny the newcomers to the Space Wolves and refuses to cooperate with Guilliman, instead seeking to meet and potentially change his fate which he thinks is to die at the hands of Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka. [9c] However after hearing of the experiences of Kjarg Iron-Oath Logan has a change of heart and sees the Primaris Marines as worthy of being true sons of Fenris. Afterwards the Space Wolves become committed to the Indomitus Crusade and seek to smash the Ork threat as Guilliman advances into Imperium Nihilus. [9d] Wargear Those Wolf Guard that choose this way of war favour close combat even more than many of their brothers, and revel in the fierce joy of sinking their claws into their foes' flesh. Void Claw Terminators are far from limited to boarding actions, for the Great Wolf often utilises their skills to secure landing zones and forward enemy fortifications before reinforcements arrive to follow up their initial assault. Stormrider - Stormrider is an ornate war chariot held aloft by anti-grav gyrostabilisers. It has no means of self-propulsion, for it has ever been drawn forth by a pair of giant Thunderwolves since the time of Leman Russ. Power fields and runes of enchantment are wrought within the chariot's framework to protect both Astartes and beast from incoming fire, enabling Stormrider to bear the Old Wolf into the heart of the enemy lines unscathed. Grimnar is amongst the Imperium's deadliest warriors, but when pulled by his Thunderwolves, Tyrnak and Fenrir, he is nigh unstoppable. The Champions of Fenris comprise many of the mightiest heroes of the Space Wolves. They are the greatest of a warrior breed, their sagas long and filled with many deeds of courage and valour. Ever do they seek the opportunity to earn further renown and carve a legend that will live on for eternity in the annals of their Chapter.Rune Priest ( Primaris Rune Priest) • Wolf Priest ( Primaris Wolf Priest) • Iron Priest ( Primaris Iron Priest) Ulli Dragonsmote - From a young age, the warrior who would become known as the Dragonsmote had a fascination with fire. Before ascending to the ranks of the Sky Warriors, Ulli would fight his tribe's foes with a flaming axe, dipping its blade into kraken's oil before battle and setting it alight. It was this spectacle that first caught the eye of Ulrik the Slayer on the day of Ulli's choosing. This fascination with fire persisted throughout Dragonsmote's time as a Blood Claw and then as a Grey Hunter, where he wielded his squad's Flamer with unsettling glee. When his ascension to the Wolf Guard came, it seemed only fitting this perennial fire-wielder be accorded the honour of bearing his squad's Heavy Flamer. This he has done ever since, bathing his foes in searing death and responding to their frantic screams of pain with his own joyous howls. The Inquisition sought reinforcements, securing the support of the Red Hunters Chapter, amongst others. The Red Hunters joined Kysnaros' armada with their entire Chapter fleet and strength, including the massive battle barge In Sacred Trust, under the command of Chapter Master Daemar. Kysnaros had sought the support of the Red Hunters, a Chapter that traditionally aligned itself with the Inquisition, as proof that the Space Wolves did not represent all the Adeptus Astartes of the Imperium -- but also because he was unsure of the Grey Knights, some of whom were surreptitiously ignoring the developing campaign and were slow to join it. Grimnar ultimately was stranded upon Midgardia, but was saved by Egil Iron Wolf shortly before its doom was unleashed by the will of the Daemon Primarch of the Thousand Sons Legion, Magnus the Red.
