The production appears as one would expect for a TV mystery, with a lower-budget, and less to work with. Sixth season is the worse season by far, but it's not bad. Just pales in comparison with the previous ones. Could have been better, the subplot with daughter was not very good but it was still a good season overall. And the ending is satisfying. We also badly need remasters of Swing Time, The Philadelphia Story, Driving Miss Daisy, Doctor Zhivago, Anchors Aweigh, Gigi, and, On the Town!

Lucifer, the live-action series based on the DC comics series, has had quite the journey during its run. The show initially premiered on Fox before being rescued from cancellation (after season 3) by Netflix due to a passionate fan campaign. In total, the series ran for six seasons (3 more seasons on Netflix) and gained an even bigger following after its move to the streaming juggernaut. And now, for the first time, Lucifer’s fifth season will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray starting on May 31, 2022. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Lucifer: The Complete Fifth Season DVD that I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own. Things get out of hand at times but Lucifer has more plans in store than he's willing to let on. Lucifer even gets a surprise visit from his While we can all poo-poo what titles get released, my biggest beef here is that for every 'poor' performing catalog release they invest a lot of time bringing to Blu-ray they could have released a major title that would have sold far better, thus ensuring more deep catalog releases yet to follow. Is it just me or is it frankly insulting that its 2022 and we don't have more movies starring the likes of Clark Gable, Errol Flynn, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Esther Williams, Jane Powell, Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, and soooooo many other golden greats.
The series largely excels because of the performances by the cast. Lucifer Morningstar is brought to life (ironic) by Tom Ellis.
