From a young age Amanda wanted to work in weather and at 18 auditioned to be a Weather Presenter on The Big Breakfast…but it was a few years before her break came. Alex grew up in Bristol where he still lives today. As a child he spent a lot of time with his weather obsessed grandmother who sparked an interest in him from a young age. A few years on Alex developed an interest in the media and by chance an opportunity came up to combine his two interests at ITV West Country. Since 2005 Alex has been part of the weather team and his responsibilities also stretch across ITV Network Weather and Good Morning Britain.
