About this deal

Everyone of note survives, so that means Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton and Michael Douglas will likely return in an eventual fourth Ant-Man movie. However, Douglas has said he'd only appear in a fourth film if Hank died at the end, so get your tissues ready.

Explore the Quantum Realm, but watch out for M.O.D.O.K.! He’s heading out for big adventures as a Funko Pop!, floating along on his Doomsday Chair," the official description reads. Even though they're talking about it, it's probably no surprise to learn there's no confirmed release date yet for Ant-Man 4.While fans will no doubt be eager to see him on screen, the question remains as to what his purpose within the overall story of the movie will be. The plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania revolves around Lang's family finding themselves in the Quantum Realm and interacting with the inner space inhabitants. It's possible that the film will re-imagine the character as being a robotic program that serves the people of the Quantum Realm, or possibly Kang himself. Knowing that Kang has sinister motives for the heroes, MODOK will probably be more than willing to complete his mission of killing, or at least assist in doing so. There's plenty of spaces in Phase 6 where it could technically fit, but we have a feeling we'll have to wait until The Multiverse Saga wraps up to see a fourth Ant-Man movie.

Not too much of what to expect is given away by the trailer but comic book fans will know Kang the Conqueror is a relative of Victor von Doom, aka Doctor Doom from the Fantastic 4. Now, one question that does remain after taking a closer look at the MCU’s interpretation is where the character of MODOK fits in the overarching narrative of Ant-Man 3? Thus far, no officially released concept art, trailers, or marketing materials have shown the villain. As for Kang, whether he would actually appear in a fourth Ant-Man and the Wasp movie is up in the air. The character is being set up as the big bad of Phase Five, meaning he may not appear in one of the one-off movies. M.O.D.O.K., which is an acronym in the comics for Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing, first appeared as a cameo in 1967's Tales of Suspense #93.Stoll continued, "You know, the thing I always loved as a comic book fan was that there would be these radically different versions of the same characters." But what's still confusing is why MODOK appears the way he does in the MCU and why his face has been covered by a golden faceplate unlike his comic look. Perhaps the team simply had difficulty making that design translate to live-action, or maybe whatever may be behind the mask will prove to be a spoilery reveal. It's no secret that the focus for Ant-Man 3 has largely been on Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror as it builds up to the events of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, the time-traveling conqueror won't be the only foe to face the shrinking team as MODOK will also be making his MCU debut in the February 2023 release. According to Variety, Majors has already been dropped from advertising campaigns and as the lead in the movie The Man In My Basement, so his involvement in any future Marvel projects remains to be seen, and there is always the possibility that the role of Kang may be recast for future movies. Ant-Man 4 plot: What will Ant-Man 4 be about? Maybe as a post-credit scene? But here is what we do know. Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania Spoilers Ahead!

Several other Quantumania figures were also posted online, including better looks at the new costumes for Ant-Man and the Wasp, as well as Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror. How MODOK Fits Into Ant-Man 3's Kang Story Jeff Loveness, who wrote the script, and Peyton [Reed, director] and Paul [Rudd] made a very strong choice to retcon — is that the word? — this new reason for MODOK to be. I think it really works. It certainly works in the context of Darren’s arc." In a recent interview, Majors revealed that he did not officially sign on to play Kang in future MCU projects until he had completed filming his scenes for Loki. "It was the character and dimensions of Kang, and the potential that it had," Majors said. "I thought, I’ll take a chance on that ." This leaves the question of how MODOK can fit into this adventure, with regard to whether he will ally himself with Kang, Ant-Man, or his own third party. One theory suggests the oversized villain may be floating around the Quantum Realm on the conqueror's famous time chair, which could be what he sends the heroes to steal. However, Shane isn't just a movie guy. He also loves video games. Super Mario Sunshine, The Last of Us Part 1 and 2, and Batman: Arkham City are some of his favorites. Music plays a big part in his life as well. Given that Shane's a big horror fan, you might be surprised to learn that he's a pop guy. Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, The Jonas Brothers, and Demi Lovato play on repeat while he's writing. Although Ant-Man characters will likely pop up in already-confirmed movies such as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. So that should give you your fix of Scott Lang and co until the new movie. Ant-Man 4 cast: Who will return for Ant-Man 4? If this were to be the case, MODOK could end up being the main villain of Quantumania while Kang functions more as an "in the shadows" threat. As the time-traveler will be the the next big bad for the Avengers to face in The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, this would ultimately make a lot of sense.
