About this deal

The OneOdio A10 are not great at providing passive isolation, possibly due to the shape and materials of the earcups. Extra Features & Battery Life

The only issue is with those chrome earcups: they show up greasy fingerprints badly and need constant cleaning. TaoTronics’ budget SoundSurge 60 headphones are well made but blighted by a muddy, wayward bass, while Anker’s Soundcore Life Q20 perform well wirelessly but poorly when you use the bundled auxiliary cable.I wouldn’t say these headphones have ANC quality like Bose and Sony, but they can certainly take the edge off low-frequency noises such as trains, airplanes, case fans, and conversations.

Included with the headphones are a carrying case, which isn’t of the highest quality but fulfils its function perfectly well, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable and a 3.5mm audio cable that can be plugged into the right earcup for wired listening. On the first round of battery life, I've used around 15 hours playtime and lots of calls, and I'm still at 60%, so the 40 hour mark seems an accurate representation so far. These headphones feature a mostly plastic build but with a metal headband, which gives them much more hope for longevity. They may be built out of plastic, but they don't look it, with a metallic look on much of the outside casing that fits nicely with the actual metal of the headband. Nearly all ANC headphones use some degree of passive noise isolation in addition to their active circuitry, primarily because it's an easy way to improve performance against high-frequency noises, which tend to give headphones more trouble.

On the other hand, extra bass from the ANC OFF mode helps balance out that slightly aggressive higher frequencies. Treble Overall, as long as you keep ANC off, the OneOdio A30 can sound very fun and quite natural, despite the punchy bass and treble boost. Given you can tweak the audio to your liking, it’s easy enough to let the exaggerated bass reproduction of the default sound profile slide. But there are a couple of simple ways the Life Q30 could be improved. The ear pads can swivel, rotate and even fold down smoothly. The hinges are sturdy, but I’m not sure whether they will hold up for another 3-5 years. We should also note that some people feel pressure inside their ears with powerful ANC, while others don't notice a thing. It's worth trying on multiple pairs of headphones in a store before you invest in an expensive product that can potentially cause you discomfort. Multipoint connectivity is always a bonus. I was able to connect to two simultaneous devices without any issue. Whilst I haven't tried the headphones out for any serious gaming, latency on videos is pretty much lip synchronised. The on- switch and volume adjuster buttons are located on the right cup, with the ANC on-off/transparency selector is on the left earcup. They're easy to get to grips with, with enough spacing between the right-ear buttons to never get them accidentally mixed up. The on-off/play-pause button also has a sharper texture to make sure I always knew whether I was pressing that or adjusting the volume. There’s also a decent amount of padding on the headband. Although the stitching work could be better.
