About this deal

We can guarantee that with this trivia game, you will be in for a barrel of laughs. This cheeky quiz will make for a perfect card game to have in your arsenal, or as a terrific birthday gift or Christmas gift this year! And just when you think the game is over and it couldn't possibly get any weirder...well, let's just say that the ending, as drawn out and non-interactive as it is, is by itself worth the price of admission and worth all the work you did to get there. We decided to play it after dinner. As I was writing a review for the game I asked if we could play for a minimum of a few rounds as I knew that everyone had to work the next day so they might not feel like a long game -well I needn’t have bothered as we all loved playing it. We played all evening- we kept saying just one more round and then found it irresistibly drawing us in for more. In the case of a tie-breaker at the end of the game, the player with the most cards at the end of the game wins. The bonus question can be answered by anyone in the group playing. The person who answers the bonus question correctly will keep the card the questions were asked from.

We wanted to re-invent traditional trivia card games. You answer these quirky questions to score points, the same as any trivia game, but here’s the twist: you give the answer to the question before! The graphics were done well and creative too, although a bit too many pixels, could have been a little more hires. There is no complicated setup with this game, and it can be played anywhere as the box itself is the “game board”. The question cards stay in the box and the only piece given to each player is a clip-on scoring arrow. To get the best out of the game, it is better to have the full complement of six players. We enjoyed it with 2 and 4 players but the more the merrier.Once arranged correctly, you’ll be rewarded with coins. Use these coins to buy items from the shop. Items make completing levels much easier. Higher rounds yield cheaper items and more coins. How many rounds will you survive? Features: This cheeky, fast-paced trivia game will put you to the test, producing a whole host of amusing tongue-in-cheek results.

If you answer the question incorrectly or take too long, the next player will answer the rest of the questions. There is also a bonus round at the end of each card which any player can answer to score a point too. The reader continues to ask the questions until they reach the bottom of the card, until they reach the bonus round. What is particularly appealing is that a complete game does not take long as you progress the number of correct answers on each turn (there’s a possibility of 6) and so to get to the finish line of 20 correct answers takes an outstanding player a maximum of four turns. This meant we could play several games in the evening. This is an easy game to enjoy anywhere as all you need is in the box- a great game to take on holiday. It is the perfect card game to test your knowledge, whilst providing you with the fun to make your evening even more exciting. And of course, you can add in your own rules to the game if you want, like setting a time limit for every single round, which can make it even more fun when playing against a trivia whiz! So for example, you only have 30 seconds to answer all of the questions. This trivia card game is by Gibsons, for ages 14 onwards and two to six players. It comes in a compact and neat box that is great for travel. The box also acts as the scoreboard. Inside the box, it comes with six scoring arrow cards, 100 double-sided question cards and an instruction card.

On opening the box I found some coloured cardboard arrows that were designed like paper clips- these were a clever concept as they are used around the side of the box by each player to advance from Start to Finish as each time you get a question correct you move a space forward. There are trivia cards with 6 questions and the idea is that you have to give the answer from the question before…with very funny consequences because of the way the questions are planned. This trivia game is the first-ever party game to be created by yours truly: Gibsons! We created this in collaboration with Board Game Club founder Lesley Singleton, plus creative consultant Deej Johnson and Billy Langsworthy of Mojo Nation to create the perfect after dinner party game. Samantha Goodburn, the Marketing Manager at Gibsons, said the following in September 2021 in an interview with Toy World Mag :

About This Game

As I argued once here, when I resign and look into the walkthrough, my reaction is IMHO a good indicator of the quality of the puzzle. If I think: "how obvious, if I only tried and thought a little harder, I would likely found it myslef" it's a good puzzle. It will also raise my frustration level for the next puzzle to keep trying. If I think: "how stupid, unlogical, if at all it would have taken me very long to discover this by random. I'm happy I shortened that frustration by looking at the walkthrough now", then it was a very bad puzzle. It will also quite lower my frustration tolerance for the next puzzle. We all agreed that we will definitely be playing it at Christmas with the extended family. I recommend that you go out and buy one now as a Christmas present for the whole family. Depending on the number of questions the player answers correctly, they will progress around the board to the same number of points. Each correctly answered question is worth one point.
