About this deal

No, Polytrol does not contain any silicone. It uses Owatrol Oil technology. Does Polytrol contain linseed or teak oil? Apply Polytrol using fine wire wool (000 grade) soaked in Polytrol and allow it to work for 10-20 minutes. Wipe off any excess Polytrol with a clean lint-free cloth. Leave to dry. Polytrol is simple to apply using a cloth or soft brush and is ready to wipe off in just 10 minutes! Clean the surface with Net-Trol, rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry for a minimum of 24 hours depending on the surface.

Owatrol Polytrol helps to restore the colour and appearance of dull and faded surfaces caused by exposure to sunlight, rain and pollution. So there you have it! As you can see, Polytrol can be used on a wide variety of surfaces for a whole range of projects. Are you feeling inspired? Try Polytrol today! After cleaning, leave the door to dry for 24 hours before applying Polytrol. Make sure that your door is completely dry before moving on to the next step! 2. Apply the Polytrol Note: Marine Polytrol is not a surface coating. Its place is in the surface, not on top. Maintenance

It’s important that your door is free from any dirt, grime, grease or mildew, so give it a good clean with some warm soapy water. Phil needed some help restoring his GRP garage door. He wasn’t sure which product to use so he got in touch and asked! We recommended Polytrol as it revives and restores the colour of faded surfaces – it’s grea for fibreglass so perfect for Phil’s garage.

If the surface absorbs the Polytrol unevenly (i.e. some matt and some shiny patches) move any surplus oil from shiny areas to matt areas. For a shinier finish, buff the surface with a lint-free polishing cloth. Applying Polytrol to plastic, gelcoat, tiles, painted surfaces etc. Free sachet delivery is available on all Rust-Oleum sachets. These are shipped direct from the manufacturer using Whistl. Can take 5-10 working days.

Application of Marine Polytrol Color Restorer

Good preparation is key to a good finish. To have an excellent result you must begin with a clean door free to any dirt, grease, grime and mildew. As Polytrol work by saturating deep down into the surface, if you have any wax or polish applied to the door, this will also need to be removed before application of Polytrol can begin. I think you're right, JeepersCreepers, prep is everything - it took longer than painting! I also recommend a decent brush. I also think you're right in that it may be one of those regular jobs - oh well! Hopefully it'll do me for a few years. Clean any tools used with white spirit. Polytrol is non-flammable, however, any rags, steel wool etc. soaked in Polytrol may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Rags, steel wool etc must be saturated with water after use or placed in a sealed, water-filled metal container, before disposing of them with household waste. Rags may be laid flat and air-dried before discarding. Things to Remember
