A courting ritual: Male and female rabbits often chase each other as a form of mating ritual. This often happens once your rabbits reach sexual maturity at around 4 months old. The first thing that you should do when your rabbits are chasing each other is to establish whether or not they are in any kind of danger. You should be extra vigilant to make sure that it doesn’t turn into a fight. You should separate the rabbits. Make a loud noise to distract them, and return each rabbit to a separate home. Ideally, these should be side-by-side. A dominant rabbit that feels unheard may resort to nipping and biting. She’ll do this to rabbits and humans alike. If the rabbit feels like body language was missed, nips and bites cannot be ignored.

It's important that rabbits live with at least one other rabbit at all times, so that they feel safe. As they're social animals, they also enjoy eating together, grooming each other and lying down together to keep each other warm. Signs Your Rabbit Is Attached To You Ideally, your rabbits will get along. It will take time for them to bond with each other. Sometimes even already-bonded rabbits can become unbonded. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as if one of the rabbits smells a little different than usual or when they don’t see each other for an extended period of time.

Separate the rabbits before you do any permanent damage to their bond. Usually, after a little time apart, the submissive rabbit will apologize. The dominant rabbit may or may not accept this. Here, a buffer may even be worse than no buffer. The operator needs to touch the part for removal. If the same part goes directly into the next process, we save time since the operator does not need to grab the part again. However, if there would be a buffer in between, the worker would have to put the first part down and grab the second part to put it into the next machine. Hence, no buffer may be a better solution here.How long the bonding process takes depends on the space available, the personalities of your rabbits and how much time you have to dedicate to the process. Your rabbit’s chasing likely stems from boredom and understimulation. Rabbits are highly intelligent, playful animals that need ample activity. Without sufficient exercise and mental enrichment, they act out through unwanted behaviors like chasing. Prevent boredom chasing by providing a stimulating home environment. Fill their space with tunnels, chews, puzzle feeders and DIY toys. Schedule at least 3-4 hours of daily exercise through playtimes, foraging and supervised free-roaming. A busy bunny is a well-behaved bunny.
