About this deal

My first thought when taking it out of the box was that he must’ve forgotten to include the battery. Nope. Lighter than I expected! Do more with less and elevate your EDC with the ReyLight Pineapple Ti Mini, available at the link below. Two versions of the ReyLight Pineapple Mini Seigaiha flashlight in titanium exist. There’s this stonewashed version, as well as a bead-blasted version. Price One of the updates on this ReyLight Pineapple Mini Seigaiha flashlight in titanium is that the light now uses a Nichia 519a. My brass Pineapple Mini uses a Nichia 219b, so it’s not bad at all. But I’d still call this 519a version an upgrade.

There is one tritium slot at the tail switch, 1.5*6mm in size. However, we do not offer them with tritium installed. The easy solution is to drop a spare AAA battery in your bag and call it a day — but it is worth noting how dramatic the drop is with a 10440 in capacity compared to the 14500. Forget about lumens, focus on run times. This doesn’t scratch that itch for me on this platform. In Use: UI and Carry When you start using the light, you’ll be surprised by the output. The mild orange peel on the reflector does a good job offering a nice all around beam shape — wide enough to walk with the light, but focused enough to get some throw out of it. It’s a good balance and I am a fan. Reylight even added a glow in the dark o-ring right at the lens, which is a nice add. It doesn’t glow very bright or for very long, but if you turn off the light and happen to fumble it while putting it away in the dark, you’ll likely see that glow to find it again. Alright, this is a Nichia 219b in the SW45 (4500k) color temperature. My favorite is the SW30, but the SW45 has a huge following. It’s known for it’s good CRI and rosy output. This light puts out 90 lumens if you use a standard AAA battery, or an admirable 240 lumens if you use a 10440.That’s not tritium, that’s turboglow which doesn’t work great there, but Tritium is hard to come by right now. Built like the proverbial tank, the ReyLight Pineapple Mini features a precision-machined lightweight aluminum body keeping your carry light but effective. The signature knurling on the body (inspired by the exterior of a pineapple) provides a firm and secure gripping area for enhanced handling.

Reylight is at the high end of budget lights, but often releases aluminum versions for less. I’ll get one of those also if he makes one. The user interface actually has some programming features. Mode memory can be turned on or off (default is off, thankfully). There are a bunch of mode options, too.No need for a review as the base light has already had a few, just wanted to let fellow penlight enthusiasts know that the ReyLight Pineapple is now available in 2xAAA configuration. All of my readings were taken from a fully-charged Eneloop AA and Vapcell 10H 14500. Amps were measured with a Fluke 77III, at the tailcap. I didn’t even bother to test the lowest 2 modes, but I assume they would run for many many hours. This is a specialty flashlight and designed for its appearance and not for the output. High mode drops to roughly 15-17 lumens within 1 minute. I wished for a longer output in high mode. Throw Measurement The build quality is really good. Although you can unscrew the tailcap (nothing is glued) you are not supposed to do that. And even if you unscrew the tailcap, you won’t be able to insert a battery, because that can only be done from the front. The threads are very solid, and screwing the parts together feels really nice.. lol.. If you ever feel how titanium flashlights unscrew, you will love how smooth this one unscrews. The ReyLight Pineapple Mini Seigaiha flashlight in titanium is another 10440/AAA light by Rey. This light features a neat wave pattern and uses one Nichia 519a.

I have tested the ReyLight Pineapple Mini flashlight before. I liked it then! That one is brass, and at the time I was super into brass. I’ve sort of waned on brass and now I’m more interested in titanium (for no specific particular reason). So in that regard, I like the ReyLight Pineapple Mini Seigaiha flashlight in titanium just as much as I did in brass, but more now because it’s titanium. This Seigaiha design is a very nice touch, too! This newer one uses a Nichia 519a emitter, which of course, is fantastic. Long Review The Big Table ReyLight Pineapple Mini Ti-Stonewash Seigaiha The ReyLight Pineapple Mini Seigaiha flashlight in titanium surprisingly can run on 1.5V sources, and also 4.2V sources. All the usual AAA types work – alkaline, NiMH, lithium primary. And also the lithium-ion 10440 cell works! Output is different between the voltages, too. All output numbers are relative for my home-made Integrating Sphere. It is set up with an Extech SDL400 Lux Meter for measurements including a Kenko PRO1D ND-16 filter. The base measurement is done with a Convoy S2+ that has been tested at 255 lumens and 265 lumens (I now use 2 integrating sphere, so I can do more runtime tests at the same time. And 1 is with an ND filter for high power flashlights, and the other without so it can measure low output. )I know these long runtimes are really boring, but I didn’t even do the lowest output. When I see that moon mode only pulls 0.01A, you can image it takes many many hours to empty a 1900mAh battery. Probably 190 hours.. The downside is that the runtime means that I often opt to carry the FWAA with the 14500 battery in it. Even though that light is larger in diameter it’s shorter and there are few times when the size difference between the two is a make or break for me. By default, it comes with a 4-mode group. Moon, low, medium, and high. But if you want to use a different user interface, you can choose between 4. See for the explanation at the bottom of this paragraph. The ReyLight Pineapple Mini aluminum is 89mm in length (including the switch button) with a diameter of 15mm and it weighs 33 grams.
