About this deal

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G runs Android 11, so its software is up to date, and it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. While our preference is generally in-screen ones, the side is the second best place for it in our opinion, as it’s easy to reach no matter how your phone is positioned, and it doesn’t take up space on the front. So this isn’t an exciting screen, but brightness and viewing angles are reasonable, and the resolution is just about acceptable for the price – though we’d have liked to see a 1080p screen. Ultimately the screen isn’t a reason to buy this phone over another, but it’s not a significant negative point either. Design Enjoy smooth motion and a delightful design on One UI. Optimised for any screen size, it lets you focus on what matters in a comfortable and intuitive way. One UI lets you customise your phone to perfectly suit your tastes and fully enjoy your comfortable Galaxy experience.

Galaxy A32 5G combines Octa-core processing power with up to 4GB of RAM for fast and efficient performance for the task at hand. Enjoy 64GB of internal storage or add even more space with up to 1TB microSD card. For low-light photos with the primary lens, the Galaxy A32 5G surpassed the Nord N200 5G. I noticed noise and some loss of fine detail in most of the test shots, but there was less blur and better color accuracy. Low-light photos with the ultra-wide lens on the Galaxy A32 5G are good for a budget phone, but you'll notice minor distortion and light flare. The Galaxy A32 5G ships with Android 11 along with One UI 3.1. Samsung’s custom skin continues to improve with each update, and its latest brings deep integration with Microsoft Office as well as an updated camera app, an improved Eye Comfort Shield mode that automatically adjusts the screen’s display throughout the day, and the option to switch out Samsung Daily on the home screen with Google Discover. The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G's cameras perform well for a budget phone.

But of course being affordable the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G doesn’t have everything, and its specs are far from the best in most areas, so the question is, are they good enough? And is it good value for money? Read on for the answers. Screen Display Size: Measured diagonally, the screen size is 6.5" in the full rectangle and 6.4" accounting for the rounded corners. Actual viewable area is less due to the rounded corners and the camera cutout. You get a sizeable 6.5-inch 720 x 1600 screen on the Samsung Galaxy A32, with a pixel density of 270 pixels per inch. That’s a fairly basic spec but still reasonably sharp. The refresh rate is a standard 60Hz, and there aren’t any fancy extras like HDR10. In addition to all of One UI’s customization features, Samsung includes a suite of productivity apps. For the most part, these apps are extraneous, since similar options are already baked into Android, but if you use Office 365 or just want to avoid Google apps, you'll appreciate the Samsung options. Audio Playing Format MP3, M4A, 3GA, AAC, OGG, OGA, WAV, AMR, AWB, FLAC, MID, MIDI, XMF, MXMF, IMY, RTTTL, RTX, OTABattery Capacity: Typical value tested under third-party laboratory condition. Typical value is the estimated average value considering the deviation in battery capacity among the battery samples tested under IEC 61960 standard. Rated (minimum) capacity is 4,860 mAh. Actual battery life may vary depending on network environment, usage patterns and other factors. But with 5G, a speedy chipset, and a battery that’s big enough to keep up, the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G definitely seems to put performance – and price – ahead of everything else. So if that’s the balance you’re looking for then it won’t disappoint.

With good light and a steady hand, the Galaxy A32 5G’s macro lens can take a decent shot. My best test photos, captured after lots of trial and error, were flat with some loss of fine detail. The worst were a gauzy, impressionistic mess. On Geekbench 5, a benchmarking test that quantifies raw computing power, the Galaxy A32 5G scored 501 single-core (SC) and 1,678 multi-core (MC). The Nord N200 5G eked out 508 SC and 1,588 MC on the same test. Despite the difference in their multi-core scores, the two phones perform about equally well during everyday use.

There’s a teardrop notch above the screen on the front, housing the selfie camera, and a fairly large bezel below the display. These are all hallmarks of cheap phones. The earpiece’s 86dB maximum volume is loud enough to hear on busy streets. Test calls were clear and noise cancellation worked perfectly.
