About this deal

Se trata de un disco duro muy rápido, tanto que parece como si formase parte de los elementos del ordenador. Performance: Note that iPad Pro supports the true USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface, that allows the Pro to reach it’s maximum transfer speed of 1050MB/s, as per product description.

The small and light form factor of the Extreme PRO® SSD means it couldn’t be easier to keep your content with you whether you’re crossing town or traveling to an international location.Note that the PC with USB 3.0 is 5 times faster writing to the Pro SSD than iPad with USB 3.1, and 7 times faster writing to the Standard than iPad. I guess iPad Pro is not very good at writing to external media in general. Can it be that Apple intentionally slowed the Write to external memory API, to sell iPads and iPhones with larger built in storage? Mine is 256GB.)

I use it mainly for storing videos and also edit videos right from the SSD via the video editor in my macbook. Inside the toughened shell is a fast SSD which SanDisk claims can transfer data at up to 560MB/s - impressive stuff. The drive connects via an up-to-date USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C connection, though a Type-A converter is included to maintain compatibility with older computers. From SanDisk, the brand professional photographers worldwide trust to handle their best shots and footage.

Redistribution and use in source and binary forms, with or without modification, are permitted provided that the following conditions are met: Creative professionals know the value of storage space. With capacities of up to 2TB, 5 you’ll have enough room for the files you need to work on or deliver. So it'd better have plenty of performance to compensate. Thankfully, with NVMe SSD technology and a Thunderbolt 3 connection promising a theoretical 40Gbps bandwidth (that's 4x faster than USB 3.1 Gen 2), the Envoy Pro EX has all the right ingredients for winning performance. The Extreme PRO® SSD works with PCs and Mac™ computers right out of the box and connects with USB Type C and Type A, 3 making it easy to start and keep working in almost any situation. Indicator light: Some drives have an LED indicator that lights up when the drive is connected to your device, and although this indicator is not a requirement, we found it useful.

Don’t expect even an SSD to transfer a large batch of image files as fast as it’ll shift a single video file of the same size. Connection type: For this review we primarily considered portable SSDs with USB-C connectors, which are replacing older, slower USB Type-A ports on thinner laptops. But all the drives come with either a Type-A adapter or a separate cable to ensure compatibility with the desktop PCs, laptops, gaming consoles, and tablets you may have around your home. As a result, you still get the best speeds that your computer can handle, and your drive will be able to keep up with newer devices in the future.Die SSD ist äußerst mobil und kann einfach in der Tasche verstaut werden. Sie eignet sich perfekt für unterwegs, sei es im beruflichen oder privaten Bereich. I have bought both the SanDisk 500GB Extreme (550 MB/s) and the SanDisk 500GB Extreme PRO (1050 MB/s) to use them primarily as external drives for my iPad Pro 12.9” 3rd Gen. Temperature: The Pro remained cool even during writing a 95GB file to it for more than 25 minutes, whereas the Standard model was very warm to touch after writing to it a 5GB for less than 2 minutes. No wonder, additional 37 grams of aluminum body on the Pro absorb and dissipate heat faster. Solution: Don’t copy giant files to the plastic drive unless the ambient air is cool or point a small portable fan at it.

Admin said:Here are the best external hard drives and SSDs for the money. These drives offer the best balance of performance, features and price. CrystalDiskMark gets things off to a good start with stunning peak sequential read/write speeds of 1440/726MB/s respectively, though this is some way short of OWC's claim of "up to 2800MB/s". Real world file transfers will always be slower than a synthetic benchmark test, but we still recorded a hugely impressive 995MB/s peak read speed when shifting one massive video file, though this figure did drop as the transfer progressed, leaving the final averaged video read speed at a more modest - though still very rapid - 645MB/s. An average 612MB/s read speed moving multiple image files is also superb, though write speeds take a significant performance hit, with an average 481MB/s when writing video and just 278MB/s when writing multiple images. That image write rate did peak at a healthier 413MB/s during the transfer, but the drive couldn't sustain this speed, hence the slower average figure. But with dozens of portable storage options available, how do you know which is the right external drive to buy? Should you opt for a speedier, rugged (and generally more expensive) external SSD instead of a portable hard drive made of comparatively fragile spinning platters and an actuator arm? Or could a slower, roomier and much cheaper portable hard drive be adequate for your storage needs? Maybe you should just get one of the best flash drives instead? Those drives are generally more compact and don't require a cable, but they're usually not as fast or roomy as external SSDs -- although the best flash drives are getting faster and roomier.
