About this deal

Arianna grew up in a loving home with an equally supportive network of friends. This is in stark contrast with Noah’s experiences. I loved how detailed the family interactions were. As a listener, I was completely invested in the outcome of the story. In a soft tone, he whispers, “Juliet, I must say, I consider myself quite brilliant.” His gaze gently shifts towards my lips, captivated by their allure. In this thought-provoking statement, the speaker emphasises the foolishness of releasing someone once they have been captured in the desired position. The repetition of the phrase “once they had you where they wanted you” further emphasises the speaker’s point, highlighting the significance of not letting go. It is a powerful reminder of the consequences that can arise from making hasty decisions without considering the potential outcomes. Noah is also auch an amazing boyfriend… I want a man like him!!! He was always there for Ari, supported her and made sure that she felt loved and that there were also no misunderstandings between them!! He’s just too perfect for his own good!

Now there's a new man in my life, one who isn't afraid to go after what he wants, and what he wants ... is me. Honestly, I don't really like the author's writing. And the story and characters are just totally unrealistic; it's clear that the author writes from a list of plot points she wants to hit without truly doing any world or character building. Just like an actor takes on a role and has to understand the nuances for how characters would behave in certain instances, author's also need to do this work to bring their characters and worlds to life. A main trope in this book is a love triangle, but it's honestly so much more than that. It has a love triangle of sorts, but not really, in my opinion. The heroine does feel conflicted at times, but it's pretty clear for most of the book that the triangle is heavier on one side than the other to everyone but the heroine. I know love triangles aren't for everyone, but I swear this isn't like other books with this trope and there's a clear winner between the two men. I know it’s advertised as a love triangle but for my girlies that don’t like the trope… it’s not your typical love triangle where she is struggling a lot…. I feel like you are going to root for the person that she ends up with no matter what. (My opinion, of course) Hands down my favorite Meagan Brandy story of all time!! Swoony, heart-hitting, and indelibly moving, Say You Swear is Meagan's most emotively resonant and richly told story to date. This story shines brightly with everything that makes Meagan the queen of new adult romance- friends who are family, the thrills and perils of first love, self discovery, and so much angst. From start to finish, this one captured my whole heart and will stay there for years to come.Nonetheless, the pacing of the book was very well done and I loved how character-driven it was. Do gotta say there isn’t much of a plot but the characters made up for it! (Except for Chase lmao) Like this is really not a great way to start. It's so cliche to already have a trio of super-hot guys that are all friends. But then the author tells us they're all also super smart, super athletic, and bad boys. Later we also learn that they're similar heights. So the only difference is their hair color I guess... Say You Swear could have easily stood on its own as a standalone novel, as the side characters had minimal impact on the main plot so it could have cleared up a lot of confusion if they weren’t added.

Sarah McEwan, who portrays Arianna, is new to me, and all I can say is, “Wow!” Her character has such an emotional journey and she does a wonderful job conveying it all. And boy, does Ms. Brandy give her some challenging material. Boys of Brayshaw High” is the first novel in the “Brayshaw High” series, and was released in the year 2019. Girls like Raven (also called RaeRae) are not exactly welcomed at a school like this, she needs to keep her head down and continue to look the other way. These are the words her social worker told her as she dropped her into the newest hellhole, it was a place for ‘troubled teens’. Raven didn’t listen and has now gotten onto their radar. Chapt 12 had my heart in flutters and heartbreak yet relieved for a new girl to come out of her shell …. Readers found themselves getting so engrossed, they could barely breathe and didn’t want it to end. This book is filled with mystery, surprises, love, hate, secrets, hot guys, and one strong and sassy heroine. Fans found themselves getting hooked right at the start off of the prologue with the main characters being shown while younger. Since i haven't read one review mentioning this, let me tell you the premise of the story is in fact a FREAKING LOVE TRIANGLE.

Publication Order of Brayshaw High Books

For years, I've dreamt of what college life could bring and while some things changed, there was always one constant. One night Cam finally talked Arianna into going out with her because they would be on their own without the boys. During this outing, Arianna ran into Noah who, although enamored, recognized the hurt and brokenness that embodied her. Noah listened and acted like a real gentleman. They hit it off and began a wonderful friendship because he knew that is all she was ready for at that point. Four broken Brayshaws, one night, and a choice. That is where they are headed. Unless she stops it, and she has to. She has to remind him of what he has decided to forget. This book took me on a ride the entire time and I couldn't put it down. I'll be honest that the beginning was hard for me to get into, but once we met Noah in chapter 4, I knew I needed to keep reading. The angst killed me, made me sob, and had me smiling all at the same time. There's so many things that happened in this book that I can't even though on because it would spoil it, but I will say it was a journey that left me forever changed. Evening comes, and eventually, Noah shows up with his other teammates. Arianna, finds herself setting alone at the party pining for Chase who is visiting with everyone else. He pays her absolutely no attention until Noah shows up and immediately gravitates to Arianna on the patio. Of course, Chase notices this. It is obvious that Noah realized from the second he laid eyes on Arianna that she was what he wanted and he knew that he needed to be near her. Their banter was witty and intelligent. During their short conversation, their attraction became even more apparent, but Noah also recognized that Arianna had feelings for Chase who was exhibiting jealousy. She commented that Chase wasn't really interested, but Noah explained that some men realize who they want when other men begin paying attention to them. He showed Arianna that Chase could not take his eyes off of them while they sat there together. At some point, she called Noah Romeo in jest and he referred to her as Juliet. He left after a short period because he was respecting her feelings for Chase, but as he left he called her Juliet again. Arianna pointed out that story was a tragedy but Noah made it known that from his perspective it was an "epic" love story.
