The product comes in a hard plastic casing, and I must admit, I found it quite difficult to get it out! I expected a lot from this device, being an electronic one. It does produce results, but nothing amazing for me. In the time it takes, I could use a manual foot file and it would be much cheaper. When I began using this foot file, the first thing I noticed was just how messy it is. I mean it's getting rid of dead skin, so I should have expected a lot of "dust". I now use it in the shower base. The rotating exfoliating barrel is easy to use on my heels, but I find it more difficult to control when using on the contours of my foot.
