About this deal

The Lost One" - Oba Diah - " Following the trail of Master Sifo-Dyas, the Jedi discover a lead: a forgotten captive of the Pyke Syndicate."

Naturally, basing a board game on The Clone Wars animated series required research for every area of gameplay, from the planets on the galaxy map to the details of the players’ missions. “The first thing I did when I started on the project was to watch the whole series from start to finish to make sure it was fresh in my mind,” Ortloff-Tang says. “Over the course of the project, I ended up rewatching it a bunch of times, both for inspiration and just for entertainment. It was fun to immerse myself in that era.” The difficulty level is determined by how many missions you choose to complete. 'Padawan' is the easiest difficulty and requires three missions before reaching the finale, while Jedi Grandmaster is the hardest, tasking players with completing six. The game also challenges veteran players to take on even more missions, and if you’re really struggling or simply teaching the game to new players, there’s certainly no reason why you couldn’t play less than three missions. The first action option is move. The board is made up of a series of connected planets. In general to move from one planet to another is one action. There are games that are strategic and others are tactical. Some are more focused on the narrative and others in the ludic part of the experience. This game is more narrative and strategic, in the sense that it is oriented to solve missions that relate directly to episodes from the Clone Wars TV show. And it is strategic because it shows the big picture of a strategist and how Jedis needed to deal with separatist droid forces in a galactic scale. The second option is recruit. To recruit players will draw a card to their hand. These cards consists of clone troopers, armor, ships, and allies. Clone troopers are either red or purple and they are used for fighting and missions. Armor cards help players ignore damage, ships speed up movement, and allies provide powerful one time effects. A player can have seven of these cards at any one time.Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a powerful saga of heroes coming together to save the galaxy, and this game is no different," says Z-Man Games head Sophie Gravel in a press release. "Our cooperative Pandemic System helps bring iconic Star Wars characters and stories to life - with our Jedi needing to combine Forces to stand a chance against unending waves of Separatist troops. Players will be on the edge of their seat with every playthrough as they fight for victory… and bring balance to the Force.” The three of them are easy to build and no matter how you build them they play the same, the encouragement is to construct them based on what you have to create natural synergy but this is not mandatory and I love that. Each one has been designed really well to create cool looks to make them stand out on the battlefield and now you can create the ultimate force made of the 212th led by both Cody and Obi Wan. MULTI-SCENARIO ADVENTURE: Embark on an adventure across four different scenarios, each featuring its own formidable main villain. Face the challenges of the Clone Wars in thrilling battles. Star Wars and Pandemic??? Did someone just raid my dreams? As you may already know, I love both of these IPs so bought this straight away!! But, did it live up to my expectations? Let's take a look into Pandemic: Star Wars The Clone Wars! Pandemic Vs Pandemic Star Wars As you fly missions and smuggle cargo from system to system, your choices will shape your character. The cleverly linked mission cards give each game a cohesive but unique narrative. You'll upgrade your skills and ship along the way. But whether you choose to be a heroic rogue or a sky bounty hunter is up to you. Why not both? Star Wars: The Clone Wars has a higher RRP than Pandemic, but it isn't hard to see why. The miniatures are a fantastic addition and would make great projects for anyone who’s handy with a can of primer and a brush. Out of the playable Jedi, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Ahsoka, and Mace Windu’s presence is hardly a surprise, but it’s nice to see a couple of characters that ardent fans will recognise in Luminara Unduli and Aayla Secura. And additional miniatures would be the perfect excuse for future expansions.

For Ortloff-Tang and the entire team behind Star Wars: The Clone Wars, creating the game has been an unexpected and wonderful adventure. If you happen to be a long time reader of our little blog, then one of the things you know is that one of the things my wife and I agree on is that we do not like co-op games. And yet, we bought a cooperative game. Players must complete mission cards on specific planets based on certain episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The missions are represented below with the specific planet, episode, and a brief summary of the conflict. Star Wars and Pandemic??? Did someone just raid my dreams? As you may already know, I love both of these IPs so bought this straight away!! But, did it live up to my expectations? Let’s take a look into Pandemic: Star Wars The Clone Wars! Pandemic Vs Pandemic Star Wars

The squad cards are a really neat addition that will delight diehard fans. Each one contains a different character or vehicle and the Stealth and Assault cards all feature clones, so familiar faces like Commander Gree, Fives, and Echo pop up frequently. We even found ourselves trying to keep cards that featured our favourite troopers. XCOM vibes, anyone? HEROIC JEDI ROLES: Assume the roles of heroic Jedi, each wielding powerful and unique abilities to engage swarms of droids, complete galaxy-spanning missions, and harness the Force to confront iconic villains. My Comments: There are a lot of possible missions, several different heroes, and four different villains. This makes for a lot of configurationsHer Comments: The Pandemic system is one that has stood the test of time, and I feel like it is adapted very well for this game. The rule set governs command in an intuitive way and allows for fog of war and moments of chaos as a real laser battle would no doubt descend into!

Player cards refer to Jedis that have specific skills. And these skills reflect their personalities very well. Her Comments: In general it is good throughout with a high level of tension. Sometimes though it can go south in a hurry and that can be frustrating. Traverse a galaxy where iconic Jedi heroes utilize the familiar gameplay mechanics of the Pandemic series. These, combined with the beloved story and character elements of Star Wars, bring you a unique experience with Star Wars™: The Clone Wars. My Comments: I like how the first couple of turns everything feels manageable, and then by turn four it suddenly does not. This game is tense and walks the thin line that is right between "We don't have a chance" and "We can do this." I do need to give a small caveat, that our last recorded play of Pandemic was more than seven years ago. Other than the first two Pandemic Legacies, we have not play any of the other Pandemic variants out there. So if this game repeats something from one of those games, we are are not aware of it.The Mandalore Plot" - Mandalore - " Jedi investigate rumors concerning Duchess Satine Kryze and run afoul of the Mandalorian terrorist group Death Watch." Painting all three models was very easy with the whole process not taking too long due to the small amount of paints and steps needed for the models, what I did to paint them was follow these steps: Miniatures of Jedis and villains come inside a holder that holds them perhaps too tight. So after repeated use, a miniature could brea,k if you take them out with your bare hands. Use a eyebrow tweezer and carefully grab the base of the miniatures to take them out. Also get a couple of sandwich bags to store cards inside the box. StarWars.com recently spoke with Alexandar Ortloff-Tang, who was the game designer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, about the philosophy behind the game’s rules and all the care that went into making sure that it provided an authentic Clone Wars gaming experience. Fans of the animated series will be happy to hear that Ortloff-Tang did a healthy amount of research when making the game, which included rewatching the entire show several times. The development team also drew inspiration from specific moments in the show when making art for the game.
