About this deal

Maybe you're not intending to trek through forests or across plains to hunt, in which case a fixed length bipod would be more appropriate. Functional Design The extent to which the legs splay is determined by a round plastic collar just underneath the V-shaped gun rest. The legs slot into holes and are held very steady, albeit in one position only. Fully extended, the HSF Tripod has a footprint of 1.38 metres. With the legs fully retracted, that drops to 61cm. As I entered one field I saw a Muntjac and Kid, they had entered the field from my right to left, got about half-way across the field, thought better of it and returned at speed from whence they came. The gun rest is a tough, rubberised U-shape; thanks to a series of fins, it provides a secure hold through its 360- As I said in previous posts, I'm having serious difficulty making up my mind on this, as where I shoot is VERY rough, with practically no level ground and a lot of dense vegetation (making the Primos ideal), but it also rains A LOT, which seems to be the undoing of the Primos, making the legs stop functioning properly. I could just buy the Primos in the almost certain knowledge that very soon I'd have to take it apart and remove the white rings or whatever they are, and lube the legs etc. And maybe that's what I'll do, but it goes against the grain to spend a significant amount of cash on a new piece of equipment knowing I'll probably have to do a repair job on it almost straight away.

I test a lot of gear over the course of a year. Most of it is good and every so often I am so impressed with a new piece of kit that I decide to incorporate it into my own shooting gear line-up. That doesn’t happen very often though, as I like to keep a fairly small core itinerary of gear so it feels familiar despite the constant coming and going of review equipment. The leg catches, the tension for which can be adjusted via a screw and a supplied Allen key, are sturdy, as is everything else on the Ultrec. It’s clearly built to last. At only 53cm long, it is the shortest set on test. There is a Velcro fastener to keep the legs together, and foam grips on the tops of the legs makes for easy carrying. If that doesn’t appeal, you can opt to carry the tripod in its nylon bag. We have a comprehensive network of RFD’s throughout England, Scotland and Wales that allow us to deliver your rifle almost to your door (usually within 3 miles) for you to collect at your convenience. The field test for the HSF Tripod was a night-time ratting trip. I had to sit in a squelchy farmyard, which wasn’t a problem thanks to the mud feet. The HSF Tripod gave me an extremely stable platform to enjoy a productive night’s sport. The DeadShot® ChairPod itself swivels 360 degrees and acts more like a comfortable Deadshot rest than anything else. It’s easily one of the best disabled shooters aids, or, as mentioned, for those who just enjoy a relaxing time. The collapsible design makes it portable to a degree, but it still means it’s you who takes the 22-pound strain if you have to relocate.

With the Veo’s tiny footprint, I had plenty of room inside the hide, and once I had set the height to where I knew from experience most shots would come, the tilt feature became a real bonus. The configuration of the tension adjustable lateral tilt and multi-bearing swing arm system allows free movement through every angle. Offering unmatched stability and accuracy. In this enterprise I have chosen to focus on four experienced fox shooters, including me, Paul, my usual shooting partner, and Olly and Joe, who both generally shoot on their own. Rifles and ammo for foxing

The Veo is a hybrid design. It is undoubtedly more stable than a monopod, but not as stable as a traditional tripod. That said, I liked the attention to detail and build quality. We will ship the goods with your completed certificate enclosedto your RFDfor collection as soon as we can, usually the same or next workingday (excluding Friday & Saturday) Heavyweight or those with multiple accessories might be okay for the range. But if you intend to haul it ten miles up a valley, then weight might well be an issue. Applying won’t affect your credit score as Payl8r uses a “soft search” when you apply – meaning there’s nothing to lose! How To Apply For Payl8r

This compact bipod is great for all your shooting and hunting needs, including tactical training, competition shooting, and hunting. This makes this dependable bipod the ideal accessory for any shooting situation, including prone shooting. Like Olly, I also use .204 Ruger and hand-load with 39-grain Sierra BlitzKing bullets and Federal primers, but I use them over Hodgdon BL-C(2) powder inside Hornady brass. These are fired through my Kimber Montana. My view is that having confidence in your shot is everything, and if I believe my ammunition is the best I can make it, I’ll shoot better. At full stretch, the tripod is fine for sitting shots. You can eke out more height by reducing the footprint from its 1.22-metre maximum, but they will not go high enough for standing shots – you’d have to choose another model from the Ultrec range. At their lowest, just 43cm high, you could just about use the Ultrec for prone shots. Certainly they would be useful in situations such as long grass if your forend-mounted bipod is too low.
