The four-parter comes with impeccable credentials: the cast boasts Mark Ruffalo and Hugh Laurie, while Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight are at the helm. Davies‘ riotous drama about the lives of three gay men in Manchester was a long-overdue portrayal of life in the British LGBTQ community in 1999. It stars Aidan Gillen (who went on to play Littlefinger in Game of Thrones), Craig Kelly, and Charlie Hunnam (who later played Jax Teller on Sons of Anarchy), and all 10 episodes are available to stream. Terrific stuff. Time season 2 sees the action shift to a women's jail as we join inmates Kelsey (Bella Ramsey), Orla ( Jodie Whittaker) and Abi (Tamara Lawrance) who arrive at Carlingford Prison on the same day. ITV’s latest thriller sees Dr Lucinda Edwards (Niamh Algar, Suspect) face a nightmare shift that ends in the death of an opioid overdose victim, leading to an intense malpractice investigation, and as the pressure rises we soon see signs that Lucinda might be hiding something.
