About this deal

The sound is excellent, very clear and surprisingly loud given the size of the unit. The picture is great for fast moving sport, while films or prestige TV look fantastic with good depth of colour even with daylight coming through the windows. The only downside is that this uses a bulb which can run quite hot, unlike many recent units which have switched to LEDs. VIBRANT DISPLAY ---- Make it your personal sports game projector. Enjoy our projector’s vibrant color and crystal-clear image with a max resolution of 1080p. An ideal screen size of 80 inches can be achieved with a projection distance of 5 ft. 5200mAh long battery life allows it to play a movie for more than 2 hours without a charge Performance: The TH671ST has truly been designed with gamers in mind. While any of its picture modes offer great response times, the game mode not only gives stunning color but really impressed us with a lag time of just 1.4ms, in line with the top gaming monitors, and almost unheard of in our projector testing. It’s not the best for placing further away from a projection surface, so if you are set on having your unit far from the image then you’re better off with a standard throw, but only because the image would be too big! You'd prefer speed over resolution: There are faster projectors out there, so if that 16ms response time still feels a little sluggish, we'd recommend moving to a 1080p machine.

MULTI-SCREEN SHARING ---- Vamvo mini projector adopts the latest Multi-screen technology. It supports AirPlay, DLNA, and Miracast technologies. You are able to project the screens of your iPhone, iPad, and other smartphones onto a 130” large screen (maximum) with a lightning cable, USB cable, or Type-C cable. This projector allows you to instantly project your mobile screen content onto the wall for your colleagues, friends, and family to watch. The picture quality from the LG is very good, allowing screen sizes up to a max of around 100 inches before you start seeing unacceptable pixels. The brightness is rated at 250 lumens, and we measured close to this in our garden setup as shown below. This image was taken simply projected onto a white sheet, which shows the flexibility you can take advantage of while camping. Performance: The visuals on screen are the most important thing to look at of course, but it delivers here too, at up to 200 inches of great picture in good conditions. The LEDs are suitably bright without too much heat, so this is a projector that can come out at dusk rather than once night has fully set in. This being a cheaper projector, you're going to run into a fairly low contrast picture with darker scenes leaving details to the imagination. For everyday play and streaming, though, it's still a reasonable picture considering the price point. You can sacrifice resolution for speed: If you'd prefer a lower input lag, you can find 1080p projectors like the BenQ above offering faster response times. We tested the Capsule 2 in both a Marco Polo campervan and an Eriba caravan. We found that even in daylight hours with the blinds open, the 200 lumens of output is ample to see the screen effectively if the projector is positioned reasonable close to the screen (i.e. less than 1m away for a roughly 30-50cm screen width). We found that the Capsule 2 auto-focused very effectively within a couple of seconds in all lighting conditions – very nifty! In short, yes! It can work, and it can be a wholesome, massive experience. Hooking up a super-powerful rig to one of the best gaming projectors can be quite the experience, and the power of the PC will get great results out of a projector.

For audiophiles, sound is essential. Unfortunately, not all projectors come with good speakers, and you’ll probably find that applies to miniature projectors, as well. Some projectors come with great speakers built-in, which means you’ll get high-quality sound when you’re streaming or gaming. You can even use some projectors as a Bluetooth speaker to listen to your favorite music. Verdict: This is the gaming projector many have been waiting for, and the fact that BenQ are putting out projectors aimed at different kinds of gamers shows that they’re really working hard to understand the needs of their audience. It’s on the largish size, measuring 18 x 15.3 x 6 cm but actually that is not too outrageous if you have the storage space for it. If picture resolution is a more important parameter for you whilst maintaining value for money then the best camping projector on the market is the LG Electronics CineBeam PH30N. This is a very similarly priced projector to the options above, but is slightly brighter and has enhanced resolution equivalent to HD 720p. Design: BenQ's TK700 is relatively unassuming in its aesthetic. The white top is surrounded by a silver panel housing the lens itself and ventilation grills. Those grills are necessary as well - as this thing can run hot. Your usual controls are located towards the rear of the device, with a separate remote for easy fiddling, and you've also got a selection of screws to tilt and angle the projector for the perfect viewing experience.

Verdict: The BenQ TH671ST is the best short throw projector for gaming we've tested so far. Its flexibility runs through its design and feature set all to produce an excellent image no matter where you're setting up. The Capsule 2 can be fully controlled via some nifty touch buttons on the top and it can also respond to voice commands via Google Assist which works surprisingly well. This is useful for a camping projector because you often find yourself multi-tasking! Performance: Instead of the usual one-game mode, the X1300i has three – for RPG, FPS, and sports games. As a result, when we used this as our primary gaming screen, it didn't matter whether we were playing games in lush landscapes, dark corridors teeming with enemies, or on the football pitch (British or American version) as we found a picture mode perfect – and custom audio profiles to bring out the sounds you want to focus on for each. They’re also great for watching video – for instance, sport mode is great for the greens of a pitch and the contrasting kits. Sound from the Yaufey is excellent from the inbuilt stereo speakers. You can also hook up to a wireless Bluetooth speaker such as the Anker Soundcore if you like. Built-In Android Now we’ve made our feelings on 480p clear before – for typical watching in a campervan, caravan or tent this resolution is no problem for us (although we are in our 40s and our eyes aren’t as great as they used to be!).Not only do you need to find the best projector specs for your needs, but you’ll also need to think about the surface you’re projecting onto. You might need a screen for the perfect picture but with high-end units, you’d be hard-pressed to notice any issues if you’re projecting onto a white wall. Though in all honesty, you are best served to peruse the best projector screen and best outdoor projector screen markets to ensure you have the right gear for your projected images. This is a genuine concern, and probably the most persistent one still, as speed has never traditionally been a strong point. Literally having to throw a picture out from the unit means that latency has always been a concern. The good news is that modern gaming projectors have never been better in that respect and you can safely get a machine that's below the 50ms mark - the minimum you should aim for. The bad news is that the lowest ms times are reserved for those most expensive projectors. Is a projector good for PC gaming? Enjoy Big Screen — Projection size: 44-200 inches with distance 4.9-18 feet, the shortest distance to focus is 4.9 feet, and the best viewing distance is 10 feet with the image size of 100 inches, which will give you best watching experience. Then there are the mini projectors that don’t require you to connect to anything at all. These projectors have their own operating systems that let you access your own files and even use built-in apps. If you’re going to be streaming, you’ll need to make sure you can connect to wireless where you’ll be using it. You want the best picture quality possible: Low contrast and a fuzzier image quality means this isn't going to compete with the top models. However, it's still passable for everyday use.

You need high quality speakers: We did find the speakers already installed to be a little tinny so if you don't have a separate solution but audio quality is a priority you might want to look elsewhere. Light output is rated at 6000 lumens using a lamp bulb with a rated lifetime of 50000 hours – that’s alot of movies. We found that the picture was good enough to watch in reasonable light levels and you didn’t have to draw the blinds unless you wanted the absolute best visibility. The absolute key for a projector that you have gaming in mind for is input lag. Broadly speaking you need to aim for 50ms as a minimum acceptable level, while under 40ms is better, and around 20ms is the holy grail. How much you really need and must have the lowest possible lag will be down to personal preference: some people will barely notice the difference whereas others will curse anything less than the snappiest of times.Features: The X3000i is one of the best projectors in all categories, but particularly for gamers, and particularly for role-playing gamers – players who want to be truly immersed in the amazing worlds of triple-A titles. The key to this is BenQ’s CinematicColour system which offers incredible colour reproduction. The depth of colour is astonishing, with incredibly rich reds, blues and greens on the landscapes of next-gen games. There’s also built-in streaming through an integrated Android dongle, but as usual there are key apps missing. There is a small pop-out foot that extends 4 cm (1.6 in) underneath the lens to angle the projector. This foot is small and somewhat unstable, but it elevates the projector well enough (so long as the main surface is stable). Features: With a 120Hz refresh rate, the X1300i is speedy by projector standards, and offers 8ms input lag for a decently responsive experience. There’s an odd practical annoyance: rather than being integrated, the Android interface is included on a dongle that needs to be installed. You’ll only need to do it once but it is annoying. And there is the usual issue of Netflix and other apps not being approved for use on this and requiring another media source. It’s clear that our ‘best-buy’ mini projectors reviewed above are not the cheapest items in the world to buy, and you would be forgiven for thinking “do I really need one?” at those sort of prices. This is a very valid point! This is not to say that the Mogo Pro is a huge beast. As you can tell from the photo, it’s about 14cm tall with a 10 x 9 cm base. We would still class this as a mini projector, but when it’s on a tripod it is certainly no shrinking violet, weighing in at about 900g.
