About this deal

I’ve used darker hues to show the optional parts, e.g. dark red is the optional parts for a red model. When the new starter sets come out, expect to see this sprue in the entry-level box. Warhammer Age of Sigmar Dominion – Sprue D – Orruk Killaboss & Stab-grot I glued these into their base, and that later made getting a brush to the inside of the cloak a pain. Even if you’re planning to glue them down, I’d push-fit till the cloaks are done.

The pale skin is a two part process. Like the Hobgrotz, the hero is countershaded but the effect is much more sublte. If you want to build the “defaults” then just aim for matching the pictures at the end of each section in the build guide. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Warrior Starter Set – Sprue A – Gutrippaz The Lord-Imperatant is parts 1-11, with parts 5 & 6 being optional helmeted and unhelmeted heads. Part 12 is a base feature. When combined, these boards create a battlefield measuring 44.8″ x 30″ – perfect for 1,000-point games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. You can add a second set to make an even larger battlefield that matches the recommended size for a 2,000-point game. This one was a bit more of a pain. I should have just removed most of the push-fit posts on this one and glued him together. They were a bit too tight and with the parts so fragile it was hard not to have large gaps. If you really can’t wait to get your hands on more Stormcast Eternals or Orruk Warclans figures, there are already a host of other Stormcast Eternals and Orruk miniatures currently available that might keep you busy until future AoS 3.0 releases. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: love them or hate them, you can’t deny that GW produces some of the best artwork out there. Just look at it! It’s a glorious piece of artwork that’d look incredible framed and looming over your hobby or gaming cave – provided, of course, it hasn’t fallen foul of any pointy bits of sprue. Highlight Flesh with Citadel Karak Stone, the red areas with VGC Sun Yellow and the off-white areas with white.

In this picture, the armor has been painted with the enamel washes but the shield has not. You can see how much more green the armor is and how much more of a vibrant and natural tone the enamels brought to the scheme. It’s a great tool to have in the tool box. As with all the other Battleplans examined so far, the battle ends when one player has removed all their models from the board. Really easy model to build with only the smallest join line visible above the spike on his shoulder plate. Man-Skewer Boltboyz Another couple of awesome models, really easy to build again. With so many details there was some annoyances with the mould lines in detailed areas, but again the join lines have sensible placements to avoid them being visible on the final model. In terms of building the models, things were pretty easy going, but there are a couple of takeaways I’d want to use if I was doing them again:

if(location.protocol==="https:"){t=t.replace("http:","https:");} else {t=t.replace("https:","http:");} Highlight face, elbows, and knees with Vallejo Model Color Silver Grey. This helps to integrate the purple into the overall skin tones
