About this deal

These free-standing screens are constructed from natural woven willow around a metal framework with hinged side panels and a simple ‘hook & eye’ latch for the front panel/s to be able to open and close them.

This ‘rustic’ design combines well with any outdoor space and hides those unsightly plastic wheelie bins behind its hinged side panels for easy access when needed.Planning regulations force many homes to have a shorter fence at the front of their house, so even using a solid fence panel that allows no line of sight through the panel would probably not work for hiding standard height wheelie bins. If you have a wall at the front of your house and have permission to increase the height to provide more screening, slatted fence panels are a great option as they still allow light into the house. Our Jakpost® foot allows you to install fencing onto existing hard surfaces with ease. If you want to know how to increase the height of an existing boundary you can read our blog here. Hiding bins with a wheelie bin store

However, being constructed from timber would also allow individual units to be separately treated/stained buy the owner to blend in better to the surroundings. If heavy duty is your style, metal is a clear winner. It is the pinnacle of weather-resistant, durability, and strength – it beats all other materials in this area. So, if these are your priority, metal is a clear choice. However, some downsides of metal wheelie bin stores are they’re typically expensive, very weighty, and will only suit some garden designs. They may also rust if a rustproof coating hasn’t been applied, so look out for this when buying! Making sure the hook sides of the panels are on the outside; they can be latched on and secured until the bins are required for usage. Complete with the bin screens are 2 x 60cm s 180cm expanding willow trellises which can be used to complete the screening of waste storage area With covers you’ll only need as many as the number of bins you have, assuming of course one screening cover will cover the entirety of each bin. So, just consider the price when you’re buying your screens, and hopefully it won’t run your wallet dry! Why not build your own wheelie bin screen?

Garden Gates

Now first thing is first, this is an incredibly reliable screen and a really effective way to screen your bins, but it is on the expensive side. On top of this, you’ll need to buy the stone or materials to fill it with to make it look good, so this screen is only good for you if you’re not worried about a budget or if you’re willing to splash the cash. The manufacturer has provided this unit with a ‘heavy duty’ plastic floor, which provides strength and stability to the ‘secondary’ foot bolt when bolting the main door. Another great feature is the ‘ piston-assisted’ lid which makes you bins easily accessible even when the doors are closed. We didn’t like the fact that the manufacturers didn’t provide a floor for this unit, which considering the other excellent feature was a little short-sighted we feel. However, this can be easily remedied by cutting to size a piece of sheet marine ply or sheet metal. On the other hand, trellising and covers won’t be as effective in screening your bins completely, but they will help them blend into the garden a lot and make it look like you’ve put the effort in to make them look good. Covers are generally cheaper though, and are definitely the best option for bin screening if you’re on a budget. The screening is made from 3 separate panels that are connected by easy to attach hinges on the metal frame. When together, the screen measures 115cm high by 81cm wide and 64cm deep. The hinged side panels can be opened easily to access the bin when it is time for the refuse to be collected, and just as easy to close afterwards.
