Next on our list is this light lager, Lomza Jasne Pelne, a more recent version of the original beer first made in 1968. The delicious beer has a malty character with bread, toasted malt and honey hints. It features a 6 percent ABV bottled in a squat brown bottle.

Another recommended beer on our list is Lech Premium, made by Kompania Piwowarska and owned by the Japanese company Asahi. This company also makes the Tyksie and Zubr beers, but Lech has its own brand. If you buy these Polish beers in America, the ABV is only 4.9 percent, but in other countries, the alcohol content is higher at 5.2 percent. This pale lager is brewed by Kompania Piwowarska shepherded by Asahi. It’s the same group that produces Żubr and Tyskie. But Lech is a sub-brand with its own premises – Lech Browary Wielkopolski. The beer has varying potency depending on which market it’s intended for. The American variant has an ABV of 4.9% but other country versions hit 5.2%.

Initial taste before swallowing is a little cocoa powder in the inhale, then surprisingly sweet, there's an alcohol presence that doesn't burn, and a moderate bitterness, tasting both of hops and roastiness, it grows more intense the longer it sits, and the alcohol begins to burn. After swallowing I notice that licorice adjacent taste, which gives way to an aftertaste of strong bitterness, being dry and very malty. I notice it's also acrid and a little acidic, with sweetness that balances it somewhat. It's intense, but the flavor is there.
