The DHG Super range gets a water and oil-repellent coating, which works well, easily beading away droplets and resisting fingerprints, albeit not quite as well as the Lee Polariser.

In my experience with the Tiffen UV Filter, I have noticed an increased amount of lens flare and reflections over my slightly more expensive UV filters. If I were you, I'd put out the small amount of extra money for a better filter, preferably multi-coated to reduce glare. For the filter to fit on the lens, it must have the same diameter. Only after that should you choose a filter and decide on the brand. This is one of the best options in terms of value for money. The manufacturer offers several confounding four different ranges of circular polarizers, each with different glass and coating combinations.Hoya HD UV filters come in the same sizes. They don't get you more light as do the polarizers, but they do have the same super-tough glass and coatings which repel fingerprints. Slim rims: Filters that have larger rims can potential cause a vignette effect on your photos. That is why looking for filters with slim rims is particularly useful. A similar situation is with wedding photos: a shot with a bride smiling out of a car is more convenient to take with this thing so the photographer is not reflected in the window. While color neutrality is given priority, the transmittance rate remains approx 33%. (400-700nm average) The UV Filter prevents haze and reduces bluish tint in photographs by reducing stray UV rays entering the lens. It also has the added benefit of protecting the lens and glass from scratches and accidental damage.

Before/after: Polarizers cut through reflections on water and glass, and improve contrast and colours of skies (Image credit: Future) The HTC glass provides a minimum light loss of 1.5 stops. The optical quality is also top-notch, and the filter does not affect the sharpness of the lens. Equally impressive is the MRC Nano coating, which perfectly resists water and fingerprints. It helps when cleaning the filter, as water can be wiped away quite easily. Features: Reasons to Buy It's just perfect for Nikon camera owners. It is a multi-coated model that helps reduce surface reflections and flares, providing clear images with greater clarity. Also allows you to control the saturation of the blue sky to improve the clarity of cloud cover when shooting in bright light conditions.Protect Your Trip:Don’t forget your travel insurance!
