Each course will run for four weeks and be led by a lecturer who will devise an engaging curriculum that includes an artist talk and a guest lecture. For each session, participants will be asked to engage with learning material that they can read, watch or listen too. I never had a non-white lecturer while doing my BA at university. The first time I did, I was doing my PGcert in Art, Design and Communication and was taught by the founder of Shades of Noir, Aisha Richards, on the inclusive practice unit. She was able to free history and art practices through an intersectional lens which was really affirming for me and made me realise there is space for me in the creative world. These succulents can thrive outdoors as well as inside the home, as long as you live in a part of the country that receives enough sunshine.

Electronic Life was devised in collaboration between Ed D’Souza and Sunil Manghani from Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton with members of Element, Tate Collective Producers, and Tom Savage at Alan Turing Institute.

Phill takes his inspiration from nature as well as our rich history of Art & Design, in particular the arts and crafts movement, Art Nouveau and gothic revival. However, pay special attention to its changing hues when the light catches it just so and you’ll notice it carries undertones of purple and green. Since Persian lily comes from Turkey, Syria, Iran, and Iraq, it can withstand dry soils and conditions. Carleen has become one of London’s most skilled and diverse street artists inspiring young people and female artist by empowering her-story through street art and workshops. Former founder of the Wom Collective a female street art collective based in London, Carleen became a curator to create more opportunities to give exposure for other street artists.Sunlight is emitted in a spectrum of wavelengths from long to short (from radio waves and infrared to the visible spectrum that we can see with our eyes and finally, the super-short wavelength ultraviolet light, x-rays, and gamma rays). The natural features of flowers and plants reflect their evolutionary adaptations that have developed over time to increase their chances of survival and reproduction. Courses are delivered live on Zoom and to create an interactive teaching environment, learning material will be provided to registered participants prior to each class. Participants will also be able to access the learning platform which includes the recordings of the live lectures and learning material for 90 days after the last live class. The roster of tutors is so exciting and I’m already programming for semester two. The masterclasses are going to be more hands-on and I will be working with emerging and established artists and creatives so that they can share their creative practice in a formal way with their peers. Thus, if you want your plants to retain their dark tone, you should pay close attention to their conditions. 9 Dark Plants And Flowers To Welcome The Spring The courses will expand on the ideas explored in the artworks and practices of the artists working with Art on the Underground throughout 2022, these include Joy Labinjo, Larry Achiampong, Rhea Storr and Shanti Panchal. From the Tate’s own collection, the evening will also feature “The Unfinished Conversation”. Through the generation of new texts, images, and music they have generated playful, lyrical, and often surreal motifs to express ideas about their lives. Their work will be presented throughout the evening by ‘Electronic Life’, which has been built from data captured throughout their creative making process. The spidery tassels or ‘fringes’ of the flower heads which dangle from the Chinese Loropetalum shrub are what give the plant its common name.
