This moisturizer is free from parabens, phthalates, sulfates, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium saureth sulfate (SLES), DMDM hydantoin, urea, petrolatum, mineral oil, DEA/TEA/MEA/ET A, and formaldehyde. I will say that I didn’t experience any breakouts while using this, so if you have acne prone skin, I think this is a safe bet. It also didn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all, even though it was so heavily scented. The serum also contains amino acids like arginine, serine, alanine, glycine, threonine, proline for multi-level hydration and moisture. Each peel pad is a decent size, so you might even be able to cut one in half to make this product last twice as long. Formulated with pure retinol (again, Bliss does not disclose the percentage, which I find quite puzzling, especially for a retinol product), this is an anti-aging serum that also contains the Bliss Prevent-4 complex of amino acids, peptides, squalane, and antioxidants. The serum comes in an adorable airless pump bottle and it has a smooth and lightweight texture with a slight yellow tint. I've tried many times in the past to incorporate retinol into my skincare routine but a very gentle pro-retinol essence is as close as I got. I find that like most people, I am pretty sensitive to retinol and will experience dryness with initial use. I know the sensitivities do go away but I honestly don't have the patience to slowly monitor and increase the frequency of a skincare product when it's so much easier to reach for non-irritating products that still yield great results. Anyhow, all of this is just my long-winded way of saying that I've not yet given this retinol serum a try and probably won't for the foreseeable future. Great review, I know......
