What makes Kommandos an inspired choice for a Boarding Patrol is their Kunnin’ Infiltratorsability, allowing them to deploy anywhere on the board, as long as it is more than 9″ away from enemy models and deployment zone. This will give you the advantage right away – you can plop your Kommandos on unclaimed objectives out of both your and your opponent’s reach. Either that, or surprise them with the gift of Throat Slittas – meaning if you are within an inch of a terrain feature (so hug those walls tightly), add 1 to wound rolls. If you prefer to stand in the middle of a crowded corridor, you can have your Distraction Grot come out for once per battle and the Kommandos are treated as if they are within an inch of terrain, allowing you to capitalise on their unique abilities no matter where they are placed on the board.

Some people love the new-ish Voidscarred, so this might be a popular bundle option. Boarding Patrol: Drukhari

Boarding Actions are an excellent way to build small, thematic armies that can’t fill the full-sized battlefields of Warhammer 40,000, such as these Aeldari Corsairs . Prince Yriel of Iyanden leads his Eldritch Raiders into the bowels of a great Ark, filling all three Corsair squads with mid-range troops that can load an ungodly number of power swords into a cool 499 points.

The new Boss Snikrot stays true to the old Finecast model. Snikrot became a touch bigger and the details are a bit sharper and more precise thanks to the plastic casting, but otherwise, almost all the details can be found again. The three heads are a nice addition, but I would have preferred an alternative left arm to mimic the iconic “shhh” pose of the old model. Well, the value is pretty decent, but again, it comes down to whether you need the units inside. If you don’t need a single unit, the box value goes way down. You could grab two or three of these and have a murder ball of wyches at your disposal. Just grab some transports and you’re off to the races! This is a good start for new players or anyone looking to try out what makes Drukhari unique.
