About this deal

The cost of the return of any faulty goods will be borne by Keengardener. We shall be entitled to charge you for the costs of returning goods which are not faulty. I have been a fan of Bosch for more than 25 years. No appliance or tool came home bearing another brand. I have tools that are 15 years old and still working. However, the recent acquisitions are being very disappointing and the service given in New Zealand does not even qualify as “service”.

Cordless garden tools ensure effortless garden maintenance, and they ensure a good, clean cut which is what is required so as not to damage the remaining branch which can in turn cause disease.

DeWalt cordless reciprocating saw is a tough and powerful tool, suitable for garden pruning tasks and many other household tasks. The ergonomic rubber grip keeps vibration and muscle fatigue down to a minimum, making this tool an ideal one for more prolonged pruning work.

The 18V Power Tool System means that batteries are interchangeable within the tool range which allows you to buy just one battery and charger, saving you money. First off the bat, their demo sums this saw up pretty much spot on. This is the ideal sized branch to be trimming:The Keo itself is fairly light and can be used one or two handed even by a small weak person like myself. My partner has a larger pruner but I find it much too heavy to use. I now look forward to pruning the small trees and shrubs in the garden and am actually disappointed when I don't have anything else to prune. I called the 0800 number and they advise that there is nothing else they are prepared to do: no alternatives, nothing!

This is another professional standard pruning saw, this time with a straight blade and so better suited to dealing with branches and logs at upper body height. That’s not to say it can’t be used for cutting through roots and such, it’s just that this saw is at its optimum performance when used at waist to shoulder height.Straight blade pruning knives are better suited for cutting things anywhere below shoulder height but above the waist because of the angle of the sawing motion in cohesion with where you are standing. Curved bladed saws are better for cutting branches above shoulder height or for low branches below the waist
. The rubber handle feels so comfortable in the hand and much of that is to do with the rubberised handle that really helps stop slipping.
Included with the saw is a polypropylene sheath with a belt clip.
This is more expensive than the Wilkinson and certainly equals the cut power. So overall a decent alternative. They are generally lightweight and with modern batteries they are far more efficient and powerful. Making them an all round excellent choice for amateur or professional gardeners. For gardeners who are less able-bodied cordless garden tools are perfect in that they allow you to continue completing garden tasks that you may not be able to achieve by using hand tools. Thereby allowing you to still enjoy the benefits of getting out in your garden and taking care of your plants. These power tools improve with every new model that comes on to the market. Lithium Ion batteries are a lot longer lived and take less time to charge. They also keep their charge, so you can always be assured that they are ready to use at any time. I won’t waste your time with the obvious things too much here: price, rust proof, robustness, easy to clean, how safe to use, and blade retention are all important factors and are considered in my choices for the best pruning saws. With the electric pruning saws I also look at weight, balance, and battery quality/cost. Looking after a pruning saw
