About this deal

Hi Cathy, I’ve been a fan of your books for many years. I’ve read all of them multiple times, and own some of my favourites as ebooks and audiobooks as well as hard copies! I just finished reading part 3 of Unsafe – what a moving story. I really hope that you keep writing. Your books are so inspiring, and because of them, I now work for child protective services. I wouldn’t be where I am in life without you. If Unsafe is your last book, please know that you have had a profound impact on my life, and I am very grateful. You’re my favourite author! Best wishes to you and your amazing family. Cathy Glass’s Can I Let You Go? remains in the charts for an eighth consecutive week - this time no 14. Harper Collins have bought world rights in Cathy Glass’s latest fostering memoir A Family Torn Apart. Congratulations to Cathy Glass whose latest memoir Unwanted is Number 7 this week, its sixth week in the top ten.

About the Author

As previously mentioned, Glass draws from her experience caring for children in the foster care system. Throughout the course of her time as a foster care provider, she has seen horrific and distressing cases, many of which feature in the books below. Most of the children in her books have been horribly abused — physically, emotionally, and sexually — so reviewing each book’s content warnings is highly recommended. Nonfiction Books Lara and her one year old son Arthur are brought to experienced foster carer Cathy Glass by their social worker. Lara fled an abusive relationship and Arthur was suspected non-accidental injuries. Cathy must monitor Lara whenever she is with her son, day and night. She cannot let them out of her sight for a minute.

In my opinion, i enjoyed this book better than the one before because this one got straight into the storyline and i like that about a book. This book didn't disappoint me at all it was a really good read sad of course but it was a good book.Initially I thought all her stories were true, and very much set in the past. However her writing is now describing fostering during the pandemic, so I feel like these stories cannot possibly be true, and how horrid for the fostered individuals to have their dirty laundry aired in such a way.

I have two books coming out soon – one by Lisa Stone, The Gathering, out 3rd August, The other a Cathy Glass memoir, Unsafe. 31st August. I hope you enjoy them, x Harper Collins have bought world rights in Cathy Glass’s latest fostering memoir A Monster For A Father. Hello Cathy, I just wanted to let you know that I have been reading your books since I was 17. I’m 31 now and I believe I have read all of your fostering ones. I have laughed, cried, been disgusted at times but most of all been extremely touched and inspired by your approach to all of your children. I hope you are having the BEST time with your grandchildren and dedicating more of your time to your family. You really deserve it after all the good you’ve done. I bet you are the best nana. Kind regards Hello, I am very impressed by your books. It is insane how many children have to suffer such a hard fate. Thank you for your work to help the children find the right path. I have read all the books translated into German. I would be interested to know when there will be a new book in German, unfortunately most of them are in English.Hi! I came across one of your books at my local library. I love it. Suddenly I found myself getting more from the library and then buying them so I could keep them. Now I find myself needing to read your books every night. I just wanted to say thank you for writing these amazing books. Whenever I’m reading them I always feel like I’m there with you, a part of the family. It takes away the loneliness I often feel. Thanks so much and please keep writing. Regards. Amanda, New Zealand, 29.05/2023 Michael is a cheerful and wonderful little boy. He’s carefree, prays every night before bed, and believes that angels will take his father when it’s time for him to be reunited with his mother in heaven. Michael begins to form an incredible bond with the family, and so does his loving father, who is looking healthier than ever. Just as they all start to settle into this new routine, a disastrous tragedy strikes. Harper Collins have bought world rights in Cathy Glass’s next fostering memoir. Innocent is the true story of little Molly and Kit, siblings, aged 3 years and 18 months, who are brought into care as an emergency after suffering non-accidental injuries. It will be her 31st book and 23rd fostering memoir. Dear Cathy, I have read every single book and cried whilst reading them just like millions of others have. You and your family have been amazing people caring for all those children all those years. I’m now rereading your books for the second time and enjoying them just as much as I did the first time. Take care and all the best for the future.

Can Cathy help turn everything around for her and show her that anything is possible when you ask for help and get it. Dear Cathy, I just finished reading your book Unsafe and was again very moved by the stories of Damian and Esme. I love reading your books and have learned a lot of parenting strategies because of them. Reading your books helps me put everything in perspective. You definitely deserve some more me time and time with family is so precious. Enjoy your children and grandchildren! you have done so much for so many people. Thank you again for sharing your stories. Kind regards, This Cathy Glass novel was somehow the best but managed to rip my heart out at the same time. I definitely recommend it, but just go in knowing that this story is not an easy one. Cathy gets a call from a widower that is terminally ill. He is terrified about leaving his son alone, and asks Cathy to take him in. The rest of this series is a continuation of the stories of Faye and Lauren, and the role Cathy plays in their journeys. These novels are tear-jerking and touching, but a series that is well worth the read. These two young women touch Cathy’s life in a way she never expected, and as much as you aim for a happy ending, all you can do sometimes is your best. I have fostered 200 kids, but Lucy’s eyes were haunted and my heart went out to her - she was destined to be my daughter”Bonjour Cathy, j’ai 35 ans et je vis en France. Lara loves her son, but she puts her own needs first. Cathy must teach Lara how to care for Arthur, but will it be enough to allow her to keep him?
