About this deal

Celebrate the great teamwork between Charizard and its Trainer Lance or explore the darker side of Sylveon with a unique look at the Intertwining Pokémon with this pair of Pokémon TCG: Celebrations Collections, which highlights classic gameplay mechanics from Pokémon TCG days past.

The Pokémon TCG: Celebrations Collection—Lance's Charizard V and Pokémon TCG: Celebrations Collection—Dark Sylveon V includes: To me* it looks like the fonts on the old Celebrations cards is a bit different than the originals, like the “Pokemon Power: Energy Burn” text on Charizard. Perhaps new versions of Photoshop render the fonts differently?

Full Price Guide for Charizard [Premium Collection] #4 (Pokemon Celebrations)

This means that there’s an added premium when looking at graded PSA versions, and it’s already a high-end item given the rarity. Diving at supersonic speeds, Dragapult swoops into your collection as an impressive Pokémon Prime! Pokémon Prime were a type of cards originally introduced in the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series, offering a touch of nostalgia to the collection. This powerful collection includes two Pokémon TCG: Celebrations boosters, as well as Dragapult Prime and its ghostly stealth giving you the power to strike at just the right moment. Dig deep and you'll find additional surprises including a binder and more! Celebrate Pokémon with the world-famous Pikachu, taking to the waves and the skies on a special pin to commemorate 25 years of good times and great adventures! The Rare Rainbow Pokemon cards feature holographic foil designs and alternate art for popular Pokemon such as Charizard and Blastoise. The cards also include a special message printed on them, giving each one a unique feel. Other rare cards from Celebrations: Classic Collection include Full Art Ultra Rare cards of Pikachu, Gyarados, and Eevee, as well as a secret rare Shiny version of the same cards. I see the Celebrations Charizard being a nice compromise for these people, a consolation. It's a beautiful tribute to the original while also still being its own thing. People will be able to buy one in good condition at a fraction of the price of a base set in poor condition. Still, even a fraction of that price is going to be a lot. My logic could be flawed - I'm pretty new to all of this still.

One such card to receive the treatment is Charizard, re-released in all of his original 1999 glory.

Finally, we come to the 2021 Pokémon Celebrations Ultra Premium Collection. Next up is the Gold Metal Charizard contained within the expensive hobby box. Unlike EX Pokemon, which were usually Basics regardless of if they're evolved or not, M Pokemon still needed to be evolved onto an existing EX Pokemon – to play M Rayquaza EX, you needed an Rayquaza EX in play to evolve from. Update: It looks like the fonts on some of the older cards are slightly different, perhaps due to changes in software rendering over the years. It probably wasn’t on purpose and likely wasn’t noticed. However, Reshiram through Tapu Lele-GX are legal in Expanded because their original prints are still legal in that format.

The Japanese 25th Anniversary version is also a viable option from an investment point of view. It depends on your budget, as well as your personal preferences. 2021 Pokémon Celebrations Charizard Cards: Buying/Selling Advice Celebrate the greatest moments of Pokémon over 25 years of adventures alongside favorites from Mew and Ho-Oh to Lunala and Zamazenta! An awesome parade of Legendary Pokémon appears, and famous Pokémon from the very beginning return to join your collection—you can even find Flying Pikachu and Surfing Pikachu as both Pokémon V and Pokémon VMAX! Join the party with the Pokémon TCG: Celebrations expansion!Of course, by far the most valuable card in the entire of Celebrations is based on the game's most valuable card full stop. Base Set Charizard has fetched hundreds of thousands at auction, and almost single-handedly drove last year's surge in demand for the game. One of two commemorative metal cards featuring Base Set Pikachu and Base Set Charizard, PSA have stopped grading the card due to problems with the surface when slabbing the card, if rumours are to be believed.
