Innovate UK provides support through two innovation networks. These are the Innovate UK KTN (Knowledge Transfer Network) and Innovate UK EDGE. Innovate UK KTN Building and maintaining awareness of European programmes (particularly Horizon Europe) and stakeholders (including European Partnerships and European Technology Platforms where it is in the UK interest). Catapults are critical national assets, and we will ensure that their value is recognised and exploited across government, as well as for the businesses they support. inspire future leaders and champions of innovation by identifying and celebrating our diverse innovation heroes. Innovation is complex. The journey from idea to market is not straightforward and requires a diverse range of know-how, investment, market knowledge and research. Innovate UK KTN exists to connect innovators with new partners and new opportunities beyond their existing thinking – accelerating ambitious ideas into real-world solutions.

We have a strong respect and responsibility for the public money we deploy, and so impact, effectiveness and efficiency are at the heart of everything we do. For the UK to be a global innovation hub, we must fully harness the UK’s rich diversity of talent and create more opportunities for diverse innovators. LEO works closely with research institutions so they can showcase their technologies and expertise in dedicated University portals. We recognise our role as so much more than funding innovation. We create the conditions that allow innovative businesses to thrive in the UK. Our Building Success Webinar Series, produced as part of our Women in Innovation programme, is applicable to anyone working in innovation no matter what your gender. The series explores topics ranging from marketing through to intellectual property, funding and finance, and HR and recruitment.

We have strong engagement with the entire value chain, from academic researchers, materials developers through to end-users who make products from these materials and businesses who manage end-of-product life issues. The Innovate UK EDGE Scaleup programme is at the apex of the service and is geared to clients exhibiting the highest growth potential.
