The only criticism I have is that the length of the book should have been adjusted, but other than that, I have no other comments. The book had a lot of subplots. There were action, mafia operations, Maddie’s clash with her mother, and some other interesting stuff, unfolding one after the other or concurrently. There wasn’t as much sport as I thought it would be and I don’t consider the book as mafia x sport, since the sports mentions are very brief. I also feel like sometimes the plot or the writing was a bit rushed and that there were some loose ends but generally this was a fun read. Before bedtime: Many people find that reading before bedtime helps them unwind and relax, which can promote better sleep.

Third, there were so many instances where I either thought something was going to add to the plot, or there were random things thrown in that literally did nothing to the plot and I'm like, why is this happening??? They felt like filler to get to a word count and IMO all that space could have been used to flesh out other parts of the story. Not only was her mom not supportive of her career, she was also pressured to get married before her childbearing days were over. She went on many dates in search of a husband, yet no one gave her butterflies like Grayson did.Well that was something, what a rollercoaster🎢 everything just went off all at once I didn’t know what to do with myself😂

Characters though easy to like are yet so unrealistic you feel like you are watching Disney barbie show. And I have watched some good barbie shows in my childhood. It was so out of realms for me I felt like I was entertaining some nonsense and waiting for it to return to reality but writer won't stop.
