About this deal

I am in a space career wise & personal life where i want to do& be more by doing less. I am not a mother no kids but nonetheless am seeking desparatly to be more efficient, productive, & work smarter not harder by learning to feed myself/soul first. It helps that I have discovered & am now fully accepting loving & embracing my innate introvert…even though my career 20+ years has forced me to be an extrovert!

You’ll also find more joy in the process, and your engagement, growth, and conversion will increase because everything just works better when we’re aligned. There are 2 more outward phases where you’ll likely feel more like being on social, and 2 inward phases where you’ll likely feel more withdrawn and not be so plugged in. Pareto’s Law of the Vital Few: 20 percent of our efforts produce 80 percent of results. I don’t know a coach or business entrepreneur who doesn't teach this, which means it’s super important! Northrup give us the following exercise to help us identify our vital few. Body first, business second: When you tend to your body’s needs first, your brain and hormones are able to function optimally and you get more done in less time. Before you plan your week, identify what your body needs. I’m so grateful I didn’t just launch another big thing just to get something out there out of fear that I would become irrelevant or disappear. I just kept on keeping on, making things that seemed like they’d be fun to make and useful for other people to receive. Happiness and satisfaction come from going through the process of learning and/or doing something new, something you love, and not from the end result. So enjoy and congratulate yourself on every part of the journey.

Marie: That’s amazing. For anyone listening who have people in their life, let’s say family, friends, co-workers, who obviously… There’s some folks where the relationship is complete, right? And that’s wonderful and sometimes we move on but other times it’s like, well I can’t move on. They’re blood, they’re in my life for a long time. I love that you have three great recommendations. One, consider changing your side of the relationship dance, which is exactly what you just described, right? Seeing what your part in it is. What’s next made itself quite clear to me earlier this fall. After all that waiting, it was such a relief to finally feel a clear direction!Embrace all four phases of our menstrual cycles, lunar cycles, seasons, and project development phases. Cyclical living helps us have abundant harvests without burning out in the process.

She has some neat ideas about your menstrual cycle and which work activities you should do at which stages, and listening to your body, but I teach jr high. My work shows up M-F, 8am - 4pm, whether I am cycling or not. Resting while bleeding sounds luxurious. And being “out there” while ovulating is nice, but I need to always be out there for my students. I do agree that is has been overlooked for far too long and we need to focus more on women’s health and accommodate the needs of everyone - not just the cycles of men. Design your schedule around the cycles and seasons of our bodies and projects to get more done in less time while experiencing more flow, ease, and fun. I couldn’t be more grateful for you for being part of my community and continuing to share your heart and mind with me when I meet you in person and all around the interwebs. I’m so excited for this next chapter. It feels so good to finally know where I’m going so that I can take you with me! OVER TO YOU: More relaxed nervous system, less stress, and relaxed people generally feel happier than stressed-out people

Kate also recommends a couple of good books on soulful guidance to find meaning and fulfillment in life. I have already read “The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho” and find this other book in my to-do reading musts: “The top five regrets of the dying by Bronnie Ware.” Sadly, this book just didn't really do it for me. I managed to eek out a couple points that will be useful in my life. Much of it just was too generic, too fluffy, and just wrong for me at this time. Focus more on the vital few than the trivial many.80% of results come from about 20% of your actions.

Kate: You just make a date… you know what the other one I’ll just add that’s not in the book is, do an activity rather than just hanging out. There have been people in my life where we’re going to continue the relationship but I’ve realized it works really well to go to a museum or, honestly, do a project. Make a cake or something rather than just being in conversation.

Time can be experienced differently, relative to our perception of it. For example, compare the five minutes you waited for your coffee this morning in line and the five minutes that you held your child for the first time in your arms. As Northrup says, “The five minutes you held your child for the first time in your arms, you were not aware of time. Time stood still. It could have been five minutes, it could have been five hours, it could have been five seconds.” Because I was so steeped in over-achieving I couldn’t take the time to really heal not only from a devastating birth, grief of leaving a profession I was in for 17 years and losing both parents within a year of one another. How do you marry your own menstrual cycle with the lunar cycle and what do you do with that information? In this episode of MarieTV, we do have some adult language. So if you do have little ones around, grab your headphones now. The theory of relativity and Kairos tells us that when your perception of time changes, you feel as though you have more of it because the observer of the time has shifted, you actually do have more of it. We can bend time and stretch time by how we perceive it.
