About this deal

Overall, the creators of this game have deemed Dutch Blitz “A Vonderful Goot Game” and I could not agree more. It’s smart, simple, incredibly addicting, and is sure to bring out a competitive side in even your most reserved friends. It’s a small, portable game that could surely take over a Saturday evening, and you won’t be mad that it does. What Do You Meme? adds a new twist to adult party games we've seen before. Instead of written prompts, this game has large picture cards of memes to which players submit their best response cards. Similar to Cards Against Humanity, the only strategy is to play to the humor or wit of each round's judge. Setup and learning the rules is speedy. Winning and losing isn't really the focus, so you can quit once everyone has gotten their fill. This game got us laughing several times, and it plays well at a house party. In the picture above the bottom left pile is the player’s hand, the bottom right is the wood pile, the three piles in the middle left are the post piles, the pile in the middle right is the blitz pile, and the piles at the top are the Dutch piles. In the scenario the player can play the blue two from their post pile on top of the blue one in the Dutch piles. Since there are now only two post piles the player can play the red seven card from the blitz pile into the empty post pile spot or they can play it on the eight green spot since the colors alternate as well as Dutch boy and Dutch girl. The player can then play the green six from the wood pile onto the red seven since the colors are different and the red seven has a Dutch boy and the green six has a Dutch girl.

All the remaining cards will form a so-called wood pile. Place it face down somewhere on the side where it’s distinguishable from the other cards on the table. Points are collected by getting as many of your cards as possible to the common Dutch piles, which work similarly to foundations in the Solitaire-type games. If you have 31 points in hand, you should reveal it as soon as you can (in the next turn). In some variations of Blitz, you even get penalized for not revealing Blitz immediately. Other Similar Games to Blitz (Our Guides) Only the low-numbered card on each DESCENDING sequence in the Post Piles may be used to build onto a Dutch Pile. Each Number 1 card starts a new Dutch Pile. If a player uses a card from the Post Piles, they empty space is filled with the top card of his Blitz Pile. Players should always maintain the original number of Post Piles.

Each player will count the number of cards remaining in their Blitz Pile and give this figure to the score-keeper. Do not touch or disturb any of the other cards at this time. With everyone racing to play off the same cards in the middle Dutch Piles, there will be many instances where two people try to play the same card at the same time. The first player to empty their Blitz pile must call “Blitz!” aloud. This stops all the action and ends the round. Dutch Blitz Scoring Players play their Blitz cards by placing them down on one of the other piles during the game. We’ll talk more about how these piles and the cards work in the gameplay section below. Before that, though, let’s take a look at what you need to play the Dutch Blitz card game. What You’ll Need To Play?Dutch Blitz is a classic, fast-paced, family-friendly card game. So, you might have heard of it before.
