Before we dive into the UI for the flashlight, I want to make this clear to everyone before you skip the explanation of the FAN, because this is important! Like the MF01S before it, the MF01X has a neat array of aux LEDs at the front.You can use Anduril to set them low or high (of off, or flashing). But you can also fine-tune their brightness by removing the TIR and carefully adjusting the trim-pots on the aux PCB. I’m extremely impressed with this flashlight. Based on my findings I’d consider this flashlight a slight improvement on the excellent if not great BLF A6 SE model. The quality and performance of this flashlight make it a must buy for flashlight users. Measurements were taken with a professional Hagner E4-X Lux Meter. My first round of readings was done with the protection film still on the lens. I only noticed the protection film 2 days after my measurements, so I was curious how much it would differ. Here are the new numbers, measured at 20 meters.

For the rest, the build quality has nothing to complain about. The bezel was rather easy to take off, and below I will be talking more about the threads etc. Threads Levels 5 and 6 don’t step down due to heat but you can clearly see the output dropping as the cell voltage drops. This is a clear sign that there’s a FET at work. Level 5 lasts 5 hours and level 6 lasts 2 hours 40 I feel like the manufacturer paid attention to decrease resistance. The tailcap has heavy dual springs.The positive end of the battery carrier has solid brass buttons. And the driver spring is relatively short and has a bypass wire soldered to it. These are the numbers in terms of lumens. I know, not very exciting, and the runtime is relatively short!
