About this deal

I think the Flextail Tiny Pump 2X is worth it, especially if you are planning on using it as a lantern when camping. Either way, it’s a fantastic light for camping, and it makes inflating camping mats in the dark a lot easier. It had no problem inflating the air mattress. It did it in 4 minutes 30 seconds and go it to the pressure I wanted it to be at. Since the FLEXTAILGEAR Tiny Pump X also comes together with a total of five (x5) included nozzle accessories, it offers you a wide compatibility with tons of inflatable products.

I didn’t know they could make electric pumps this small. It’s going to be a great addition to my camping gear. Lastly, next to the pump’s USB-C Charging Port there’s also a LED Charging Indicator, which basically informs users with the color Red when the pump is between 0~99% charge and a bright Green color as soon as the pump’s battery reaches 100% charge. FINAL THOUGHTS However, it’s still important to note that the Tiny Pump X does not support dual-head Type-C Cable Charging, so keep that in mind when looking to recharge the pump’s internal battery. First, there’s a magnet built into the bottom and the charging port has a cover to make it water resistant. Nobody enjoys having to spend time inflating an air bed when there are hikes to go on and s’mores to be made.

Since it’s so small, it’s really not much of a commitment to bring it with you camping or to keep it in your car. After fully charging the Flextail, I turned on the light to the highest setting and waited to see how long it would take for it to die. It could inflate an 8th time, but it wasn’t able to get the mattress tight. So I don’t think it really counts. While these claims will vary by mattress type, the Flextail Tiny Pump 2x is capable of inflating an air mattress up to 40x on a battery charge. Consider you will likely use it to deflate as well which would halve that number, even at 20x it’s an item that should require minimum attention to needing a recharge unless you’re on a long trip.

I'd rather have a USB/lithium one that can be recharged from the same battery bank as phone, InReach etc if possible.

What is it?

Flextail makes a portable rechargeable SUP pump for paddle boards and other inflatables that require a lot of air and a high pressure up to 20 PSI. Can it inflate a balloon? While the company ( FLEXTAILGEAR) had already released a really compact battery-powered air pump model (the FLEXTAILGEAR Max Pump 2), this newer model – meaning the FLEXTAILGEAR Tiny Pump X – is even smaller than its predecessor, which helps it break the limits of portability, making it the perfect portable and battery-powered air pump to have around for any outdoors activity, including camping trips, outdoors exploration, and anything else in between.
