The all new and improved Granville Metal Paints come in two great finishes - hammered and smooth - and a huge variety of sizes and colours. Ideal application temperature 8°C to 25°C. Lightly stir before use. Do not mix vigorously.Brush application: Do not thin. On previously painted metal in sound condition, 1 coat should be sufficient. On bare/rusty metal 2 coats are required. Ensure that all edges and corners are adequately covered. Do not over-apply as sagging will occur.

Features

Stir the paint thoroughly before use, and apply with a good quality brush. A narrow brush is best for use on railings. A broad is best for use on bigger metal object, like a garden table. This is the same paint as the Hammerite ultima smooth above just in a matt finish. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil and any other contaminates. Bare steel should be free from dust, rust and scale. Blast cleaning to SA 2½ is recommended. If blastcleaning is impractical, mechanical cleaning should be employed but hand cleaning does not clean the steel to the required degree. Any oil or grease should be removed with solvent before de-rusting. Where blast cleaning is carried out after assembly, special attention must be paid to edges, corners, nuts, bolts welds, etc. Welds should, if necessary be ground and all weld spatter, slag etc. must be removed.
