About this deal

Originally introduced in 1967, Deadman was a circus performer known as "Boston" Brand who was murdered while on the high-wire. In the afterlife, a mysterious being known as Rama Kushna gifted his spirit with the ability to possess the bodies of the living so he could discover the identity of his killer and bring him to justice. Featuring spectacular art by Neal Adams, José Luis García-López and others, these tales take Deadman across the DC Universe in search of justice. Geoff Johns originally hails from Detroit, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University, where he earned a degree in Media Arts and Film. He moved to Los Angeles in the late 1990s in search of work within the film industry. Through perseverance, Geoff ended up as the assistant to Richard Donner, working on Conspiracy Theory and Lethal Weapon 4. During that time, he also began his comics career writing Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. and JSA (co-written with David S. Goyer) for DC Comics. He worked with Richard Donner for four years, leaving the company to pursue writing full-time. DC's grim arbiter of justice, the Spectre, returned in the 1960s to enact bloody vengeance on evildoers across the DC Universe. s “Year One,” launching out of DC’s Crisis on Infinite Earths with career defining work by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli Legion of Super-Heroes: The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 3collects stories fromAdventure Comics#361-380,Action Comics#378-392,Superboy#147, andSuperman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen#106.

The Rann/Thangar War. So we get more of the chaotic fighting that made the Rann/Thangar War so tedious. It's helped by the fact that we get some context, and there's one dramatic status-quo change ... but after that we still don't get an ending for this interminable battle! [2/5] Before the groundbreaking graphic novelWatchmen, Alan Moore made his debut in the U.S. comic book industry with the revitalization of the horror comic bookSwamp Thing. His deconstruction of the classic monster stretched the creative boundaries of the medium and became one of the most spectacular series in comic book history. The Omnibus also weaves the mini-series finales into the Infinite Crisis series itself (and they come across as coherent, complete parts of the story, albeit not up to the writing of the main storyline. Originally introduced inMore Fun Comics#42 in 1940 and co-created by Jerry Siegel, co-creator of Superman, the Spectre is a green-caped, white-skinned figure who metes out justice in the name of heaven. DC's grim arbiter of justice, the Spectre, resurfaced in the 1960s for all-new–and sometimes controversial–stories demonstrating the true power of his vengeance. But I imagine there are a lot of easter eggs for people who read Crisis on Infinite Earth or have an important knowledge of the hundreds of heroes and villains that show in the event. Day of Vengeance: Infinite Crisis Special, The OMAC Project: Infinite Crisis Special, Rann–Thanagar War: Infinite Crisis Special, Villains United: Infinite Crisis Special,This book was such an awful contrivance, neither placing this stories with the mini-series that they completed, nor with the Infinite Crisis that they interweaved with. Thank goodness that there's now an Infinite Crisis Omnibus that puts them in their correct places. Still, the stories tend to be overbloated sideshows in the Infinite Crisis story whose best feature is highlighting the miniseries that flowed into the Crisis. Wallace, Dan (2008). "Batman". Infinite Crisis" is a 2005–2006 comic book storyline published by DC Comics, consisting of an eponymous, seven-issue comic book limited series written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Phil Jimenez, George Pérez, Ivan Reis, and Jerry Ordway, and a number of tie-in books. The main miniseries debuted in October 2005, and each issue was released with two variant covers: one by Pérez and one by Jim Lee and Sandra Hope. OMAC robots are rampaging, magic is dying, villains are uniting, and a war is raging in space. And in the middle of it all, a critical moment has divided Earth's three greatest heroes: Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. It's the DC Universe's darkest day, and long-lost heroes from the past have returned to make things right in the universe... at any cost. Heroes will live, heroes will die, and the DCU will never be the same again!

As with many large-scale comic crossovers, Infinite Crisis featured a large number of tie-ins. Before the event was announced, books such as Adam Strange and Identity Crisis were being described as part of bigger plans. After Countdown, several books were identified as tie-ins to the four mini-series. Thus, although Infinite Crisis itself is only seven issues long, its plot elements appeared in dozens of publications. However, The OMAC Project does have two flaws. First, the fact that Superman: Sacrifice goes right in the middle detracted from the classic collections of this book (though they did at least include Wonder Woman #219). Fortunately, the nice Infinite Crisis Omnibus resolves that. Second, after the cataclysmic events of Sacrifice, the story drags, having lost its human focus. Still, this is an intriguing and ground-breaking story. [4/5] This Omnibus starts out with the OMAC Project mini-series... Without going into many spoilers, I will say that it was 'OK' in execution and mildly entertaining. It did help setup the Infinite Crisis storyline which you won't get to until reading through some Villians stuff (decent), some magic stuff (ok if only for the interesting characters), suffer through the (awful) Rann Thanagar intergalactic war.... I'm still not sure why they even bothered with that storyline. Perhaps hard core DC fans appreciate it. In this now-legendary graphic novel series that serves as the inspiration for the hit AMC television series, Jesse Custer was just a small-town preacher in Texas…until his congregation was flattened by powers beyond his control and the preacher became imbued with abilities beyond anyone's understanding.
