Legolas's hips and legs sport a splash of earth green on each side, symmetrically. Apart from this and a lighter brown design carried on from the torso in the groin area, the legs are dark brown. Legolas was the son of Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm of Northern Mirkwood, [T 1] who appeared as "the Elvenking" in The Hobbit. [T 2] Thranduil, one of the Sindar or "Grey Elves", [T 3] ruled over the Silvan Elves or "Wood-elves" of Mirkwood. [T 1] As an Elf, Legolas had the abilities typical of his race. He could walk silently on grass and snow leaving minimal footprints, allowing him to advance unhindered. His eyes were sharper than that of Men, seeing through great distances and in the dark. He could even sleep while walking, which contributed to allowing him to travel 45 leagues in less than four days with Aragorn and Gimli. He tamed unruly horses with only a few words, without needing reins or saddles. Home to the house of Elrond, Rivendell is a key location in Middle--earth and events of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, as the place where the Fellowship was formed and the quest to destroy the One Ring began. After they send Boromir's body along the river in one of the boats, Legolas prepares to follow Frodo and Sam, but seeing Aragorn hesitate he realises that the Ranger doesn't intend to follow them. Aragorn deems that they must rescue Merry and Pippin from the Uruk-hai. While disappointed at first, the Elf sees hope in that the Fellowship still hold true. I prefer the look of the old Frodo and Pippin torsos, and the new Sam and Merry ones, but they are overall very similar. I like the new dual molded hobbit feet. Merry and Frodo swapping hair is a bit strange, I think I’ll give them both the nougat hair, as it is more movie accurate. The new and old hobbit heads are both great, I’ll use each depending on the circumstance. I like how the new ones are more happy and goofy, while the old ones capture the actor’s likenesses a bit better. The most significant difference between the original Hobbits and their modern equivalents is the use of dual-moulded legs, representing their bare feet. Additionally, the variation between these torsos shows how LEGO printing has developed, with crisper lines. Legolas was portrayed by Orlando Bloom in both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film series. He was not available to reprise the role during the game's development and is voiced in the game by archive audio.
Legolas is by far the biggest disappointment. The face does not fit him at all, and the one-size-fits-all approach to the elf hair in this set is just not very good. I don’t remember ever seeing his hair go over his ears in the movies. Legolas fought in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields with Gimli and the sons of Elrond. [13] After the battle, he and Gimli entered Minas Tirith; Legolas sang an elven-song as he walked, and suggested that the city needed more gardens. They met Prince Imrahil and went to the Houses of Healing, at which he remembered the cries of the gulls at Pelargir and sang a song about his newly kindled sea-longing. Also, his eyes don’t fit his beard and helmet very well at all. Love the medium legs though and the new helmet is great even if it was a bit superfluous. The variation looks particularly noticeable on Pippin, whose scarf was originally far messier and whose buttons are now hidden behind his lapel. His toy tag is based on the LEGO Minifigures version of his outfit in the film series, with an arrow head as the main symbol.
