About this deal

In a continuation of the popular series from The Royal Mint that was first issued in 2016 to celebrate Beatrix Potter’s 150th birthday, the Mrs Tittlemouse coin joined the collection as the final coin in the series.

Also, given the popularity of the Beatrix Potter coins, the coin is still highly sought after. The 2018 Mrs Tittlemouse 50p can still be found in your change and as collectors are adding them to their collections, the coin is becoming more scarce. In the 1890s, she and her brother started printing Christmas cards using their own designs. Many of the cards featured mice and rabbits. In 1890, a printing firm bought several of her drawings of a rabbit she had dubbed Benjamin Bunny to illustrate verses in A Happy Pair. Mrs T humoured him and gave him some food but he was messy and Mrs T had to follow him around with a dish cloth to wipe his large footmarks off the parlour floor. Eventually, after Mr J had caused havoc in the tidy house, Mrs T said, 'Get out, you nasty old toad. I shall go distracted.' It will take me a long time to tidy this up!’ The 2016 coins are the rarest of the Peter Rabbit designs and feature an up-close portrait of the character’s face.So they handed him out acorn cupfuls of honeydew through the window, and he was not at all offended. In addition to the standard 50p designs, several reverse designs have been minted on the 50p coin to commemorate important events.

Jody Clark’s design was unveiled in 2015 as the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Her Majesty and the fourth portrait of The Queen in circulation. And indeed it did. The little mouse spent the next two weeks cleaning up all the mess that her unwanted visitors had left behind. She scrubbed down the storerooms, rubbed the furniture with beeswax and polished her tin spoons until they shone like new. It is a well-known fact that if rabbits eat too much it makes them very sleepy. This is what happened to the Flopsy Bunnies one day when they ate too many lettuces. In this article we'll learn all about the 2018 Mrs Tittlemouse 50p coin issued by the Royal Mint to commemorate this amazing book by Beatrix Potter – but is this coin rare and how much is this coin worth today? Many items were priced up in both currencies sometime before and after Decimal Day so that people could get used to the change. I am not in the habit of letting lodgings; this is an intrusion!” said Mrs. Tittlemouse. “I will have them turned out—”
