However, I enjoyed reading their conversations and watching them grow their friendship gradually over 19 chapters before getting to the romance part.

I’m your father, and I’m the emperor of Ates Empire,” he replied while stroking Blondina’s hair. Tears started to well up in her eyes when she finally caught her breath, but she kept the tears from dropping. This is nothing. I’ve gone through worse. She softly touched the ring in the pouch as she clenched her trembling lips tight. She knew it was the only legacy left by her mother, and she had promised to protect it until the very end. The girl’s name was Blondina. She’d worked as a clerk at the inn since her mother passed away. Her life at the inn was arduous. Her hands were swollen from the tedious work, and she was often bullied for being clumsy. However, as an orphan, she had no better choice. It was either this or being sold to an old pedophile.

I told you my mother left this to me, telling me it was the only legacy left behind from my father!” The cultural differences are hinted at from time to time, but are never really explored which would have been interesting to see the couple trying to adapt to each others cultures and the awkwardness of it all. Instead everything remains surface based and we don't really learn much about the sacred beast. Some beast appeared without stones in their foreheads, are they sacred, can they talk? Some wolves appeared too, are they sacred as well? No idea. The man wasn’t finished. As she watched the man raise his hand again, she decided to run for her life.

While the little girl’s nose was still running with blood, the voice felt particularly harsh today. She clenched her lips and wiped her nose with her already dirty sleeves. Ughhh...the story started out fine. Really, it did. But things really started to get tremendously tedious halfway through because there's no character development whatsoever in the 2 main leads! The romance is odd. The relationship between the FL and ML is like between a brother and sister almost. Except, every once in a while, Amon goes a bit haywire and starts acting like a love interest. That was how Blondina was taken to the castle, where she had been staying for several days now, still not knowing why she was brought there. So I completed the series, overall it wasn't too bad a read for me. It wasn't deep, engaging or amazing in anyway. But it was fun to watch all of the light hearted cuddling. The story suffers from poor build up and execution but over all I think I could recommend this to someone.The art style is fairly standard but in a good way, its above most other manhuas that either put too much detail or not enough. The story itself, while entertaining enough, is fairly predictable, you will be surprised very little. The characters can stand on their own well enough, most are very well developed and we get growth from alot of them. The pacing ranges from too fast to not fast enough, allot of chapters wind up discussing things that were already discussed and take too long doing it and they do it on mostly pointless things as to give the male lead more chances to flirt with the MC. The actual worldbuilding is limited as we only know of the other countries but only ever see one, in fact I think there’s only 5-7 locations in the whole story that they just alternate between expanding by about 2 more by chapter 90, but even then its really hard to tell where the characters are at any given point in most scenes. On that note, the characters are much like the plot. Because they aren't given the opportunity to grow and overcome trials, they are also very bland. Amon is an unconvincing love interest. I don't believe the romance at all. Bridey...or Blondina...IDEK anymore, the translations always seem to change their names. But then again, that's not the author's fault. Anyhow, Blondina is equally as bland but she's even worse cause there's nothingcoolabout her. She's got no powers, she can't turn into an animal, she doesn't seem to have any emotions other than being content and "pleasant" which is fake and completely not like a human. People are MEANT to experience emotions! Joy, anger, disappointment, lust, fear, pride...these are all emotions everyone is SUPPOSED to experience regularly. To make a character so "pleasant" and like a saintess is bad. I don't understand authors that do this. When you strip away everything that makes a person human then they are just an empty shell. There's nothing to see. Two days ago, the owner who left her alone in the store returned shortly, accompanied by the feudal lord.
