Behind-The-Scenes of Naked Over The Fence is a fifteen minute selection of footage taken from two hours of 16mm footage that producer Rob de Mee had shot during the making of the movie. This clip features Sylvia Kristel rehearsing for her musical number in the film and other members of the cast and crew prepping for the scene in question. Based on a comedic thriller by author Rinus Ferdinandusse (who co-wrote the screenplay wiht Rob du Mee and who has a small role in the film), Naked Over The Fence benefits from a really strong score from composer Ruud Bos. This adds quite a bit to the film's attempts at humor and suspense and brings the production values up a fair bit. The movie is also nicely shot, using the Amsterdam locations quite well, particularly in the finale when we're treated to an unexpected but fairly effective tram chase.

Presented with music (2 min). It took me nearly thirty minutes to realize what Frans Weisz was trying to accomplish with his film Naked Over the Fence. Its idiosyncratic sense of humor confused me a bit because it made certain developments, which I will mention below, difficult to immediately place in a proper context. It was clear to me that Weisz had not conceived Naked Over the Fence to function as a straightforward comedy, but I was unsure what the purpose of the colorful mayhem at the center of it was. Then suddenly everything made perfect sense to me.

Five men and two women, who survive an airplane crash, discover that they may be the only survivors of a world disaster. The question arises: whether the human race can survive, or will man kind destroy itself. This provocative, radical, acclaimed thriller drama was a hit both in Holland and abroad when it was released in theaters and is a feminist classic today, directed by Marleen Gorris of the Oscar winning “Antonio’s Line.”" Cult Epics has released Naked Over the Fence on Blu-ray continuing its line of Sylvia Kristel films in HD; here the film gets a new 4K transfer and restoration from the original camera negative. Overall, the film appears crisp and clear with just a smattering of damage and burns here and there. In comparison to other Kristel films and Dutch classics Cult Epics has released, this looks quite similar; there’s a tendency for some blown-out highlights in the film itself, but it features relatively good detail and a minimal grain presence. Colors tend to hue yellow, and occasionally there is a noticeable alteration in the grading in a few particular shots; also of note is some poor delineation in some of the few darker scenes the film has. Other than that, video quality is strong and quite consistent with other releases of the same ilk.I’ve been fortunate enough to review several films now starring sexploitation icon Sylvia Kristel who many may know from her iconic role as Emmanuelle and its sequels. Many of those films were released by Cult Epics on blu in a solid box set. The set was a lot of fun with most of them being damn good films that really surprised me. Three Women, strangers with no premeditated thoughts kill a male shopkeeper in the middle of the day, a female psychiatrist (Cox Habbema) is assigned to the case to find out why. The “Behind the Scenes” featurette is really just an assembly of on-set raw footage, but thankfully, it documents one of Ms. Kristel’s most prominent scenes in the film, her character’s singing television appearance. At one point, we see two women helping her with some sort of terrible fingernail problem.Other well-sourced extras include an interview with director Frans Weisz from 2014, a music-centric 2015 piece called “B-Movie Orchestra + Interview with composer Ruud Bos”, a promotional gallery, and an assortment of Sylvia Kristel film trailers. Frans Weisz's "Naked Over the Fence" (1973) arrives on Blu-ray courtesy of Cult Epics. The supplemental features on the release include exclusive new audio commentary by biographer Harry Hosman; archival interview with Frans Weisz; documentary footage; and more. In Dutch, with optional English subtitles for the main feature. Region-Free.

A 2014 Radio Interview With Frans Weisz has the director speaking for eight minutes about the producers and cast members that he worked with on the movie, the premise of the film, how he feels about the movie, his initial thoughts on the screenplay and thoughts on some of the other films that he's made over the course of his career. Audio Commentary by Jeremy Richey (Author of the upcoming book Sylvia Kristel: from Emmanuelle to Chabrol) If you haven’t ever experienced the whiplash insanity of ‘70s Dutch cinema, a pretty good place to start would be 1973’s Naked over the Fence.” – Mondo Digital Presented in an aspect ratio of 1.37:1 encoded with MPEG-4 AVC and granted a 1080p transfer, Naked Over the Fence arrives on Blu-ray courtesy of Cult Epics.Featuring “Get It Now”, “Model Session”, “Naked Plus”, the single “Hey A Letter Came Today” by Dutch model and actress Sylvia Kristel (Emmanuelle) a.o. Commentary - this exclusive new audio commentary was recorded by Frans Weisz biographer Harry Hosman. I listened to the commentary in its entirety and after I viewed Naked Over the Fence and found myself agreeing with virtually all of the comments Mr. Hosman made about the atmosphere and vitality of Amsterdam from the 1970s that are preserved in the film. Predictably, there are plenty of comments about the dilemmas each character faces throughout the film and Sylvia Kristel's performance in particular. Naked Over the Fence is definitely worth seeing as a curiousity as it has a very young Kristel singing in English and just being charming. I also really liked the sarcastic way that Rijk de Gooyer played his character; he was also in Herzog’s Nosferatu the Vampyre.”– Bandsaboutmovies Except it isn’t. Penny befriends a sexy chanteuse named Lilly Marischka (a pre-Emmanuelle Sylvia Kristel, looking weirdly cute with her short, dyed blonde hair), who winds up getting involved with a mutual friend named Ed Swaan (Jon Bluming), a karate teacher. Ed gets hired to act in an ‘art film’ and brings Lilly, who he is involved with, along for the ride. Of course, neither one of them really realizes what sort of ‘art film’ they’re to be performing in and they soon find themselves tangled up in the Dutch porno movie scene.
