About this deal

As my daughter was playing with our slime, she started pulling out all kinds of things to use with it. I was amazed at her creativity and focus. Here are some hands-on ways to play with slime, inspired by my 4 year old.

Find four popular DIY slime recipes below! With these easy-to-do homemade slime recipes, kids can learn about valuable scientific principles while they create, play with, and explore four different kinds of slime. Scroll to discover how to make slime with borax, how to make slime without borax, how to make slime with glue, how to make slime without glue, and more! I’m a HUGE fan of play-dough and write about our best ever, natural play dough recipe often, as well as developing loads of other sensory play recipes over the years too! But one sensory play recipe I had always been keen to try but never had the right ingredients for here in the UK was slime. I loved the idea of the super stretchy, elastic sensory play material but the only UK recipe I could find included a washing detergent as a key ingredient, but this is not something I’m keen to let my kids touch! My kids absolutely LOVED this slime! They stretched it, squished it, skipped with it (yes it’s possible, ha!), and snipped it with scissors. This is a great sensory fine motor material and there are many ways to play and learn while using it. My daughter wanted to use glitter and butterfly confetti for her first attempt. We also made a pink slime with food coloring later on.Satisfying 3D Sounds: Turn up the volume and listen to your slime squishing as you touch it. For best experience, use a headphones set. In slime games here on SilverGames, players may control a slime character and embark on various adventures, solving puzzles, navigating through levels, or engaging in other gameplay mechanics. Slimes may possess unique abilities, such as the ability to stretch, bounce, or transform, which adds a fun and creative twist to the gameplay. Look at that awesome bilateral coordination practice of using both hands together and crossing midline to pull apart the slime. My mama Occupational Therapy heart loves it! Relieve stress and discover our one of a kind relaxing, satisfying ASMR experience, including tens of different ASMR sounds and sensations.

DIY. Create your very own slime. Choose from a huge collection of materials, colours and add-ins: add glitter, jelly cubes and tens of other amazing decorations. Before we started playing with our slime, I had to find a recipe that would actually work. And that was harder than you would think. I attempted a recipe with powdered borax and that was a definite dud. So I went on the search for a slime recipe that was bound to work the first time. If you’re a huge fan of PLAY DOUGH see our dozens and dozens of scents, flavours and imaginative play ideas! Apparently my friend and fellow blogger Shelley at SteamPowered Family, had similar issues with slime recipes. She created this super easy, 3 ingredient, no liquid starch or borax powder way to make slime. Her Super Simple, Super Stretchy Slime recipe works like a charm!

Squeeze It, Streeetch It

Mix with a spoon until it starts to become stringy, coming away from the edges of the bowl (almost like when you’re cooking eggs.) Whether you’re a seasoned slimer or new to the trend, it’s sometimes hard to think of hands-on ways to play with slime. While making your own DIY slime is its own form of play, read this brief guide if you’re interested in ways to have fun with your slime. Squeeze It, Streeetch It Here’s an easy UK slime recipe that takes just 2 minutes to make and is so much fun for sensory play and fine motor skills! Using easy to find ingredients that are safer than traditional alternatives, its perfect as a boredom buster for summer and for older kids to make independently. Another hands-on way to play with slime is to add all kinds of slime accessories. To switch up the slime texture and show off some sparkle, add any color glitter you want. Otherwise, throw in slime charms, foam beads, fimos, or other slime add-ons. If you and your children want to concoct the most frightening, jiggly slime monster, strategically place a couple of googly eyes to bring it to life. We kept our slime in plastic bags after we were done playing with it. It does harden up and tends to break, so you may need to kneed it again and it might not be as stretchy. But since it is so easy and fast to make, I plan on just making it as we want to play with it and only keeping it a day or two past that. 5 Hands-On Ways to Play with Slime
