Dilys is the mother of mischief-maker Norman Price, but is frequently blind to her son's troublesome ways. She also appears to use malapropisms in her speech (for example, "historical" instead of "hysterical", "I'm suffering from smoke installation (inhalation)", and "I'm a very reprehensible (responsible) person, me"). Station Officer Steele has also driven it in some of the storybooks from the 1990s. Bronwyn Jones is a Pontypandy citizen who runs the Wholefish cafe. She is married to Charlie Jones, the daughter of Gareth Griffiths, the sister-in-law of Fireman Sam and is the mother of Sarah and James Jones. Although she was raised in the city, she feels much more at home in Pontypandy.

The pump bay contained a hose-reel switch, pressure lever, two low-pressure outlets, two rolls of lay-flat hose and a valveless branch pipe. To the right of the pump bay is the “candy cane” style water level. Pontypandy Mountain is the highest point in Pontypandy. It first appeared in the Series 5 episode Danger Falling Sheep. At the base of the mountain is the Mountain Activity Centre.

Hannah Sparkes is an 11-year-old girl in a wheelchair introduced in series 9. She is the daughter of Joe and Lizzie Sparkes. She is also the third child in Pontypandy to have blond hair. In series 6 Jupiter's front end was facelifted and is taken from the bumper of the Volvo FL6 (after-Volvo LV71, Volvo LV81, Volvo Roundnose, Volvo Brage, Volvo F85, and Volvo F6) and lower element of the Dennis Sabre which got modified with new headlamps, a yellow strip and two strobe lights on either side.
