About this deal

The operating humidity shows the acceptable level of humidity, in which the display will function flawlessly. It sets a lower and an upper humidity level for safe operation and is measured in percentage. Samsung has taken a big step forward in terms of motion processing this year, though. The default settings still result in a rather over-processed image, but switch to the Custom setting and you get a decent amount of smoothing and sharpening without anything looking artificial. Samsung still isn’t at the same level of Sony or Panasonic in this regard, but it isn’t far off. Global No.1 TV: Samsung TV has been ranked No.1 selling TV Brand for 17 consecutive years by Omdia. Results are not an endorsement of Samsung. Any reliance on these results is at the third party’s own risk. The QN95C can ship (lossy) Dolby Atmos sound wirelessly to compatible Samsung soundbars, as well as using Samsung’s Q-Symphony feature to potentially add its speakers to those of a Samsung soundbar to deliver a bigger, more detailed sound mix. Regardless, the QN94A has the same depth as the QN95A model that comes with the external One Connect box. In the past, the One Connect box indicated the TV was slimmer than its similarly attired cousins. While that’s not the case here, the One Connect box does bring meaningful differences that I’ll get to later on.

Samsung has also taken a big step forward this year in terms of sound. The eight-driver system of the Q90T makes it significantly crisper and clearer than its predecessors and the more affordable Q80T. It’s also weightier and deeper in terms of bass, but without the usual forced, inauthentic boom that’s common of TVs attempting to compensate for having small speakers.

Terms & Conditions

But it’s equally adept with upscaling lower-quality sources. While the QN94A doesn’t boast the advanced neural network upscaling of the 8K models, its upscaling offers an excellent sense of fine detail, clean and healthy-looking colours, and sharply etched lines that bring out more definition with HD sources. As ever with Samsung TVs, the 50QN90A supports neither Dolby Vision HDR nor Dolby Atmos sound. However, you do get HDR10+, Samsung’s home-grown rival for Dolby Vision which, like that rival, adds extra scene by scene image data to the video stream to help compatible TVs achieve punchier images. It remains a shame Dolby Vision is not supported, though, given how much Dolby Vision content there is these days. Especially now the latest Xbox consoles have embraced the format. So far I have had no issues with sound / video dropouts and Information about whether there is a possibility for wall mounting according to the VESA Mounting Interface Standard (MIS).

MicroLEDs can actually go much brighter than OLEDs, though, theoretically resulting in even more spectacular contrast. Samsung is quoting a peak brightness rating of 2000 nits in regard to this new MicroLED TV, which makes it around twice as bright as even the best OLEDs. What's more, unlike OLED TVs, which use organic materials ('OLED' stands for 'Organic Light Emitting Diode'), MicroLEDs are inorganic, so don't degrade and can't suffer from image retention or burn-in. The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC. Of no surprise at all is that Samsung is introducing a new processor for its 2021 TVs. This 'Neo Quantum Processor' brings with it, among other things, more precise dimming and a local power distribution feature that sends power to the brightest areas of the picture and away from the darker parts. It also works in conjunction with a sensor integrated into the TV's frame to adjust brightness and contrast in response to ambient lighting conditions. Information about the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the screen. A higher resolution allows the display of a more detailed and of higher quality image.

Product Features

The feature has evolved to create presets you can easily summon. It doesn’t work with all video streaming apps (iPlayer for one) and reverts to Multi-View whenever content is ‘cast’ to the QN94A, which can be annoying. Samsung is also extending its Multi-View feature, which allows you to display multiple sources at once in a split-screen format. It's going to be available on all models from the AU9000 upwards, with 4K models supporting two windows and 8K models supporting four. In our QN95A review we noted disappointing limitations to this feature, though – of the two windows, one has to be an external source and the other has to be an app, but currently only two apps (YouTube and wellness app called Calm) are supported, severely hampering its usefulness. Here's hoping more apps are made compatible in the near future. Our first job with the 65-inch QE65QN94A, then, is to try and define how it differs from the QN95A above it and the QN90A below it. The main difference between the QN94A and QN95A (we’re talking UK ranging here) is that it uses connections built into its bodywork, rather than an external One Connect box. This doesn’t just mean you might have more cable spaghetti to worry about, though. For while the QN95A’s One Connect carries four HDMI 2.1 ports capable of handling the 4K at 120Hz and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) graphic features from the PS5, Xbox Series X and high-end PCs, only one of the four HDMIs built into the QE65QN94A can handle the full gamut of new gaming features. Size class of the display as declared by the manufacturer. Often this is the rounded value of the actual size of the diagonal in inches.
